I had heard this Holdfast game was fun. I heard wrong. That's a refund right there.

Finished Dawn of War III, solid campaign i enjoyed it a lot, had some fun missions and the difficulty ramped up towards the end but it was very fun.

TFW I get Hazard of The Cast (finally), two Ringing Nails, and Jotunn in one day.

Hazard of The Cast came with Outlaw (faster reloads after headshots) and Triple Tap (rapid crits return ammo), on top of a masterwork stability trait. It's a headshot machine.

One Ringing Nail was masterworked for stability and have rampage (damage stacks with kills), Dragonfly (headshots cause explosions) and High-Caliber Rounds (knocks enemies back, extended range).

This is a good day for me.

Perhaps the announcement of a remaster of Homeworld: Cataclysm?

Homeworld fans might know that Cataclysm isn't in the recent remaster, as the source code was allegedly lost.

As long as it isn't a fucking mobile game.

I guess technically this is more of a literature related post, but a Russian studio is apparently going to be adapting Metro 2033 (the novel primarily) into a movie, and man, I am fucking excited.

There was an american adaption in the works but the author of the novels pulled out over the direction and early plans and the thing fell through. Lets see how the russians fair.

Speaking of Metro, i just completed the Two Colonels dlc, its only about 2 hours long, was hoping it would be a bit longer, but i got for six quid so im not gona complain in that regard, it was enjoyable, you got to see Kiril's father and play as him, seeing his experience and see what happened in Novosibirsk to cause the stations there to fall apart, and more of what Miller was up to towards the end, and i enjoyed it so nice little piece of dlc.

Not sure what the Russian film industry is like but judging by some of the stuff I've seen it could easily turn into some nationalistic Russian jerk off film. Though you could probably say the same for the American adaptation.

I doubt it’ll be that. Glukhovsky is pretty outspoken against the current Russian government and Putin especially. The books and games aren’t exactly very sympathetic to Russian patriotic fervor either.

Yeah I go that feeling from reading the books, but you never know what a studio or individual with power over the movie production might do to influence it for their own purposes. Especially if the original content is popular in Russia and would garner a large viewing.

Fair. I don’t know, hopefully Glukhovsky is heavily involved in the production.

Same, though now i wonder how much power he has over his IP.

I swear the GTA Online devs are having a fucking laugh. They’ve made a big deal out of them releasing an old Volvo-based rally car as part of the casino update, but the thing is terrible to drive and it costs like a million dollars. There’s no fucking point.

Read name of a game wrong once and it's stuck in head as "Fire Emblem: Three Hoes"

Well there is a minigame for growing crops.

And you can “deepen your bond” with just about anyone.

A bug in Civ 6 annoys me to hell and back. I accidentally set a policy, and then the policy becomes obselete, I'm supposed to take new policies, but the game won't let me because I've already picked policies for the term, but since CIV 6 doesn't have a skip mechanism, I can't trigger a turn so I'm stuck. And I didn't save at all so it'll be back to the create game page for me ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

So Wargaming did some weird ass impromptu thing before revealing subs at Gamescon. I....I have no words. Just like watch 10-15 minutes worth of it from the point in the video, or if the link didn't quite work, go to 1hr and 12m.

10 hours in and I can safely say that the quirkiness aspect of Borderlands is highly overstated.

it's sad, cuz i actually very much like old cars, but... yeah. Rockstar's been going kinda nuts every since their veneer as a good company gamers can support has been going on the decline. the CEOs are immature man-children who live out the GTA life (one wonders whether the creation reflects the creators or the other way around), they've jumped on the micro transaction monetization band-wagon, they've been revealed to treat their employees like shit, and, IMO, the quality of their storytelling has gone down when i look at GTA 5 and RDR 2.

aw, well that's a damn shame.

been thinking about getting that over War of Rights considering WOR is early access as shit, even if it looks a little more fun.

meanwhile, TaleWorlds never updated Napoleonic Wars, by far their most successful Mount And Blade product because reasons -_-

Yeah, it's mediocre gameplay combined with obnoxious (And frequently racist) mic spam.

I don't know how much loot I've sharded, still can't get the Burnished Dreams shader from Dreaming City. I'm low key salty.

Tigerspite is a nice auto-rifle though, keeping that thing. It's purdy.

RNGesus is not kind to me today.
