Meh, I never really got the appeal of that. The characters all being annoying teenagers doesn't help.

I feel like there's a weird disconnect between the silly cartoons of Disney and the cloying melodrama of Final Fantasy.

Maybe if Mickey Mouse was more like Dio and he had a Stand...

No, I really enjoy the narrative disconnect and tonal whiplash, I find certain parts of Kingdom Hearts' story to be really funny at points. Like, I dig it, but probably not for the reasons the writers intended, or maybe it was intentional.

Either way, Mickey Mouse lecturing on the moral implications of good and evil in a Hot Topic hoodie is easily one of my favorite moments to ever happen in a video game.

This is almost as crazy as that time people made a Turing complete computer using water and pressure plates in Dwarf Fortress.

I approve.
Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. I just like playing with the idea of a country of madmen utterly convinced that everyone else are the barbarians. So play along or not but don't ever think it's for real.

The above post contains hyperbole, metaphoric language, embellishment and exaggeration. It may also include badly translated figures of speech and misused idioms. Analyze accordingly.

KH2 alone was wild, man. That's where the aforementioned moment with Mickey Mouse happens.

It's fine, though, some of those are really bad. I haven't bothered with any of the hand helds, and am prepared to be as confused going into KH3 as I was going into KH2.

Also, to anyone who's played KH3:

Tutorial: is it anything like KH2's Twilight Town?

No not really. KH2 Twilight Town was a slow pace, KH3's Olympus world (Tutorial) just shoves you right in to the combat.

This is exactly what I wanted to hear. Twilight Town literally takes up 1/3rd of the game.

I bought Cities: Skylines on a whim for my PS4, and I adore it. It’s so comfy, and it’s well optimized for the system, like, in regards to the controls and shit. I love it.

As a child, my classroom had this day where we were allowed to take game consoles to school, and one of the games that I remember playing was one of the Kingdom Hearts. The main thing I remember is a bunch of Disney characters, and the whole thing seemed like a gimmick just to market their franchise.

That game is never coming out or will be a huge disappointment when it does.

And it will be hilarious.

I would never play a game like that on a console. But glad to know it's actually made well for that kind of system.

Even though I haven't really followed it since, Kingdom Hearts 1 soundtrack still has a soft spot with me. I can immediately play like at least 5 songs from it in my head right now on command.

I was hesistant because most originally-PC games on console are kinda ass in regards to controls, but most reviews I read for the PS4 version said the controls were good and smooth, and they’re right, it works well. I would’ve gotten it on PC if my computer wasn’t a piece of shit.
