I agree. It's like the racing games that won't show damage on the vehicles because the manufacturers don't want their cars shown as damaged. If I want to take Lebron's knees out from under him while he goes up for a layup, I should be allowed to, dang it. There are injuries in the 2K games, of course, but they're basically random. If I want to flagrantly foul a guy and get suspended for a few games, I am willing to take the penalty.

And there was something viscerally fun in playing with your friends with the stated goal of seeing who gets to 3 red cards (and a game over) first.
Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. I just like playing with the idea of a country of madmen utterly convinced that everyone else are the barbarians. So play along or not but don't ever think it's for real.

It looks like a combination of the Atlantic/Pacific Fleet games and Battlefleet Gothic: Armada. Seems to be decent.

Anyone ever play Return to Castle Wolfenstein?

I had it on steam but my gaming laptop was too new/powerful for it to even work, so my nostalgia had to be curbed by The New Blood or The New Colossus, which were both fantastic games. Well, I found an unofficial HD patch for it and now I can play RtCW again. It’s nowhere near as sleek as shooters nowadays but it’s still highly nostalgic.

I have. And I still have an old XP machine that can play it too. Really, what kind of gamer doesn't?
Overall it's a fun little shooter. The campaign is kind of short if well made. And the multiplayer is way, way, way too fast for my liking. Overall I'd rate it 4 out of 5 as far as period shooters are concerned. But only because the theme is just so cool and inspired. Like seriously, occult magic Nazis.

I think that would have to be that one MVM game where beacuse of the most extreme lag I have ever seen every four seconds I was teleported back to where I was 4 seconds ago.

This also applied to shooting.

Kids rapping sounds like prime fun, but then again, I'm stuck in the days of 2009 CoD and Halo game chat, where getting a squad with the lads and roasting/shittalking little kids was the best thing ever.

What a fucking joke.

Heres hoping that Alien Shooter being done by Cold Iron looks decent when ever they show off something for it.
