Talking about DS3. Given damage I deal with attacks, I've started to wonder if I am bad at optimizing my stats&weapons here, or if game expects me to leverage stagger-ripostes and weapon arts more for bursts of damage vs high end enemies and bosses. Due to damage I manage output with individual attacks.

MarioKart and Star Fox were really cheap because the carts I bought had a lot of wear and tear, but they play fine. :D

Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. I just like playing with the idea of a country of madmen utterly convinced that everyone else are the barbarians. So play along or not but don't ever think it's for real.

I have one save with refined long sword and another longer inherited save where I roll with fire and deep battle axes, due to initial conditions of save

The refined long sword will be great once you get Strength and Dex up past 30, though that's a lighter weapon, not a heavy hitter. Neither of the axes have any damage scaling, which is good early game, but tapers off later, especially with split damage when a boss resists one damage type.
If you specifically want to see chunks coming off of boss health bars, you're gonna want to be using greatweapons, or magic, though the latter only comes online lategame.

Well I watched my brother use refined astora greatsword so my thoughts probably mostly came from that. Although I guess his stats are suboptimal for quality build. Lol

If DS3 is anything like DS2 don't be afraid to switch weapons. And I don't just mean changing things up mid playthrough but flat out using multiple different weapon types for different situations. As long as you stick with weapons that scale with the same stat you should always have a mix of ranged, heavy and light weapons on hand and upgraded to swing at different scenarios.

In today's stupid yt comments:

"Persona 5 for the Vita not on the switch."

Releasing a video game exclusive to the Vita would be like releasing a AAA video game and having it exclusively released for the Atari Jaguar CD.

That's the joke...

Though, the Vita is super popular in Japan, so they would make some money off of it.

It's not a joke the guy was serious.

Also the Switch is also popular in Japan, and everywhere else too,
