People really make it easy to defend. Its not like I love NFTs at all, I rather not interact with them, personally. Its just the anti-NFT crowd takes that shit to a whole new level. It's like people who hate CoD, there's an entire industry of people who enjoy content to just hate on shit.

Like what did ubisoft do? They just said "most people don't understand NFTs," its a true fact.

Probably not. Cryptobros try to turn the jargon up to 11 to make it seem like they're doing something complex, but really it's fairly straightforward.

Because if anybody who actually understands NFTs, you'd know that they don't even use the blockchain technology they swear they use. Its just a URL. Because the infrastructure just isn't there for blockchain.

Blockchains are just append-only ledgers. Ethereum and other blockchains used for NFTs are just ledgers with enough space to store some text with each entry. NFTs don't contain blockchains, they are entries on blockchains.

I mean there are those, but also there's NFT websites that just uses the blockchain in name only. Because not only is it a big power draw (which costs a lot of money), there's also a huge cost to set up the infrastructure. So its created a series of NFT websites that doesn't use it, but uses its name. It's kinda like they understand that its a popular trend, and they want to milk that shit before it goes. Cutting out the biggest cost the blockchain.

It's kinda funny to me, because without the blockchain, people are just buying urls to a picture that people can save to their pc for free. There's not even the "certificate" that cryptobros say NFTs bring.

This actually is tempting me to make a NFT of Yong Yea complaining about NFTs for the shits and giggles. Just get a pdf and post it on some NFT website and sell that shit.

I mean I get there's costs, but it'd be worth it to meme. It'd be a lot like the dreamcastguy NFT. Just more in line with this thread since someone used Yong Yea as a source.

My only hesitation at this point was having to give these crypto sites my card information. I don't want to wake up one day and hear some anti-crypto activist has leaked the credit card information of anybody who used that site. And all because I wanted to meme. Most of these crypto websites are made by brand new companies, and there's no telling how insecure they are. I rather just wait till some more secure and renowned company uses them, then I might consider meming.

So other than that, played some Age of Empires 2, Halo: Infinite, then CS:GO with my friend. CS:GO was a lot more fun when it was just the two of us and bots, who knew?

It's a lot more fun without the constantly leaving / cheating / griefing players.

I kind of dropped infinite. No lobby or skip map feature really drags the game down. So if your unlucky you can get 10 consecutive matches of Behemoth, without a way to avoid it.

I know I'm going to get shit on for saying this, but I've mainly been playing Battlefield 2042 and Hunt Showdown. And anticipating Dying Light 2 which drops this friday. I'm going to preorder it tomorrow.

I'm still playing Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Is it weird that 3H and Smash were my reasons for getting a Switch instead of a mainline Mario game or BoTW?

Black Eagles/Crimson Flower was my first route, a few months ago. I've been playing Blue Lions/Azure Moon for about a month now, though.

Also, still picking at Luigi's Mansion 3 here and there. I got it before Odyssey, lol.

To be honest, I can understand and do agree. I will still play Infinite's Campaign because it's enjoyable! Other than that, I think I am kindaaa done with multiplayers as a whole, for now.

All I am mostly doing recently is playing and revisiting single-player titles. And yes, I have played and beat Dead Space 1 several times now.

Part of me is kinda burned out over multiplayers; I often saw myself going back to single-players like I said, then messing around with the game files / modding, or just taking in the story.

- Overwatch: I really love the characters and the game, don't get me wrong. But the heyday is long over.
- CS:GO: Fun with friends. Not fun with leavers and griefers.
- League of Legends: Yeah. Nope.
- Rainbow Six Siege: I don't feel like going back. Too many changes. Not used to things anymore.

I hope this is not a side effect of approaching 30s.

Ive always been a single player person anyway, a rarely play MP stuff nowadays.

Currently having Game Pass also did wonders. I mean sure, I do have a Steam library of games that I have yet to play, but the Game Pass speed things up a bit because I wanted to make it worth the subscription. So far it's working! I was happy to play Crysis 1 as well (the original, not the Remaster), and Dead Space 1 and 2.

Might try Crackdown 3 for funsies. And Forza Horizon 5.

Yeah, basically it became clear to me that 343 were going to add various things bit by bit to try and retain a audience as long as possible. Even though their missing basic features, they'd rather give it a few weeks and add it to "bring people back".

At that point, I became content with the idea of putting the game on hold. Because even though it's a game I loved as a kid, I rather them add new shit in rather than them gravy trail the games content that it was expected to have day one.

I'm glad someone else saw through the "beta" bullshit. You don't know how many people on other platforms gave me so much shit for calling it an early release.

My two biggest issues when it comes to Halo Infinites campaign are:

1. Retconning/sidelining the last game.

Yet again, ANOTHER retcon from 343 which they have done twice now. Halo 4 sets up the Didact as a new villain with the Prometheans and some covenant remnants lingering around and the Chief actually being a character struggling with the death of Cortana and to find his place when the last thing he has thats even remotely close to family or a friend is now gone. This was good, had a few issues but i really liked Halo 4's campaign and thought it was an interesting set up for the last surviving Forerunner to be a genocidal general who has a grudge against the Human race going back Hundreds of thousands of years.

Then he got killed in a comic and completely removed from the story for Halo 5 where the story was about the Chief being on the run, hunted down by a new Spartan whilst all this weird shit is happening on human colonies. I was really interested in this idea of a "renegade" chief and him being hunted down then you actually play the game and its barely touched on and the plot revolves around evil Cortana who actually survived and takes over the galaxy with an army of AI's, Promethean soldiers, T H E W A R D E N E-(yeah you get the point) and the UNSC is crippled immediately setting up the Infinity going solo against her. Oh and Jul Mdama dies immediately so Spartan Ops meant fuck all.

Was a shit show and i didnt like it that much but then we go into Halo Infinite and the Created are.... gone? Just gone? Cortana is seemingly dead and a new Brute faction called the Banished have arrived and taken over Zeta Halo and are working with some new Alien threat thats incredibly ancient, the UNSC is seemingly destroyed and its just chief and Not-Cortana to uncover the mystery of Zeta Halo and deal with yet another new enemy that has seemingly dominated the galaxy like immediately.

Obviously we find out some stuff whilst playing the game about Cortana, the state of the galaxy etc but it honestly feels like we missed an entire game. Infinite feels like Halo 7 rather than Halo 6. And as much as i didnt enjoy Halo 5 i dont like it when companies or people do this and just throw a story out the window and start from scratch after spending an entire game setting it up and 343 has done this twice now.

2. Lack of characters.

You have the chief, the weapon, the pilot, Escharum, the Harbinger and (to an extent) Cortana and Atriox and thats.. it really. Halsey is gone, Locke is... dead maybe? Lasky is gone, Blue Team etc etc and its like... there is no one to interact with that much. And if you break it down really the game has four main characters, Chief, Weapon, Pilot and Escharum.

Feels like there should be a lot more, especially for an open world game. Lasky absolutely should have been in this game and could have featured quite prominently as a side story line rescuing marines and taking over bases from the Banished, maybe put him up against one of the Banished bosses as a rivalry and that storyline culminates in killing that boss permanently etc. Or heck even introduce a new marine commander. Like you just rescue basic soldiers, seemingly no officers at all and thats just weird imo.

Ive no doubt they will introduce some back in dlc etc but honestly i would have rather had them in the main story at launch

Yeah from what I've heard the story hasn't been pleasant. I honestly think they could have rebooted the franchise completely, not just spiritually. Used the assets from the original story, added flood, and do the original plot but different.

Although it runs the risk of being a second "anniversary" or a "tainting of what Bungie created." It's just, if your going to "continue the story", a bad sequel cannot easily be reconned without major plots just seemingly disappearing. It's like we're getting glimpses of the Halo story but nothing to tie in the bigger picture.

There were some really cool concept art pieces of a partially composed Didact for Halo 5, where he is like a ghost and half his body is missing which i really would have liked to see in game.

Of course, this kind of hateful attitude is pretty typical among the cryptobros you want to join. Lots of people who criticise or publicly decline to get involved with NFTs have their likenesses maliciously used like this. It's utterly pathetic when they do it, but they at least have the explanation of being utterly brain poisoned by their obsession that crypto and NFTs will imminently spur some kind of technological revolution and they're already in on the ground floor. Or maybe they think it's just funny to edit a public image of someone on the internet bitching about NFTs and turn it into an NFT. That's how the internet works, you put out something to the public, people run with it. Me trying to make an NFT as a meme was to show that anti-NFTers can't take a joke. showing that, regardless of motive, they'll give you shit for merely being tempted with the idea of using NFTs. Even if I failed to make one, even entertaining the idea drew a reaction. I've even said that I genuinely think it's a bad investment, but because I don't give my completely against NFTs. Anti NFTers see me as they see anyone who has a slightly different opinion of them as an "evil cryptobro".

Think how this conversation started. It started with me shitting on that Yong Yea video, a guy who's spent the vast majority of last month just complaining about NFTs. Milking that shit for all it's worth. I said "I hope NFTs take off just to see people like him freak out." People saw it as me, "being a supporter of NFTs," and gave me shit for it. Despite me mainly focusing on how dogass of a YouTuber Yong Yea is.

It's like they expect anybody who isn't a supporter of crypto shit, to agree with any take they say about it. And when they get shit for it (in this case sourcing a Yong Yea video), they immediately assume their opponent is this evil cryptobro that clearly doesn't have a leg to stand on. Unfortunately for them I'm not a cryptobro nor am I an amputee.
