It's curious how you think games are supposed to be fun and we can't talk about politics, but having a game go against your concept of a historical narrative is reason enough to skip it.

That's not the point. Nothing in the AC series makes sense, you're selectively applying a critical eye to a single game concept in the series when you, apparently, refuse to extend that to the earlier games in the series.

I'm angry because this a video game thread, not a thread to whine about what the military is doing. They're corrupt, they've committed war crimes, we can't do anything about that, get over it and get back to video games.

No? As Valrifell already stated it is speculated that the device may never have worked as intended(which may be due to Leonardo not ever wanting it to be built and thus made intentional errors if I remember correctly.) And as already been explained several times, vikings and pirates did use subterfuge and stealth.
