After a couple hours, I can safely say I don't get the hype over this Hollow Knight game. Pretty standard Metroidvania game if you ask me.

It could be because the genre has been pretty much dead since... well metroid and people are getting hyped on having something decent again. I mean, imagine if someone was to release an actually good Command and Conquer style strategy game today. People would get hyped even if it was a mediocre outing as long as it wasn't horrible.

Laura Bailey is the voice actor for Abby in TLOU 2. Abby is quite disliked as a character and so a bunch of trolls or people who cannot distinguish reality from fiction decided to send her death threats.

People get really invested in something, something jarring happens, and they act out. It's not exactly unique to video games, happens quite a lot with soap stars too, I understand.

Not that I'm excusing it mind - it's downright stupid and contemptible - just observing this isn't especially new behaviour limited to just video games.

Fair. Despite my little "gamers deserved to be oppressed joke" this is not something to do with gamers, just general fandom toxicity that exist in every fandom.

Laura Bailey deserves better.

And she’s one of those video game voice actors that’s done tons and tons of stuff, so I doubt the role was exceptionally important or meaningful to her anyway. It’s just work.

TF2 has been a busy little bee of a game the last few days. Talking new guns, new game modes, there's now a 4 team mode with a new Green and Yellow team, etc.

Guess they got sick of everyone bitching at them for an update.
