Course it's the console version. My crappy laptop couldn't run this. I grabbed it off the game pass.

How long ago did you try playing the game? 3 years ago? Because that's the only time you would have ever been directed to survey your own sun. It's literally not a thing in the game anymore.

...Yesterday.

I started on console before going to PC, so I know it’s a pretty big gap.

Now that Federations is out they’re releasing more updates for console, but I basically had to relearn the game again from all the differences they added when switching to PC, so I can’t go back easily.

Pretty good run in Receiver 2 today, got to rank 4/5 before dying a bunch of times and falling back down to rank 1/5, and so I've now unlocked the Desert Eagle, the Beretta M9, and the Hi-Point Yeet Cannon.

Peta made this dumb tweet

I decided to calculate the minimum price for the protest.

So you see 12 people in the fish tank part

Assuming they each payed the lowest possible price for the protest (new equipment all prices are USD with out tax):

Switch lite $199.99

Animal Crossing: New Horizons $59.99

1 month of NSO: $3.99

263.97$ per person

3167.64$ for a twelve person protest minimum for all new equipment

Thanks for the 3167.64$ PETA. Nintendo will be sure to thank you by making more Animal Crossing with the museum added in for the next game.

They did, PETA was protesting the selling of live lobsters in stores (Something that's not really done in regular stores anymore anyway) and so they bought a supermarket's entire stock and released them into a lake. A freshwater lake in the middle of fucking Alaska.

American Lobsters are a saltwater species that likes temperate water, so they killed all the lobsters they "Saved."

Oh my God, Red Dead 2 (I never played the first, but 2 was on game pass, so I figured what the Hell) is BORING. Like my God, every time something interesting happens, it's undone by having to cross half of civilization on your slow ass horse. I wanted me an action packed cowboy game, not a goddamn walking simulator.

There is actually a very wide margin regarding what is considered "right" in that game, as it is ultimately dependent upon the way you want to play the game. Are certain methods more efficient? Sure, but people don't tend to play games for efficiency.

One thing to avoid however: try to avoid becoming boxed in by another empire, as it can rapidly mean becoming their bitch depending on what type of empire they are.

I've got science ships exploring and scanning systems like crazy but I keep running out of the resources to claim those systems and have to wait for them to build back up. Any good ways to build up and stockpile those resources faster?

Starting exploring early is a great strategy, as it allows you to find anomalies faster which can lead to some very powerful unique technologies, and also lets you find systems with good resources.

And you just need to prioritise where you spend your resources, as they are always very limited at the beginning. Try to claim systems with the most resources as a priority, as then the payoff for claiming them and building mining/research stations in them is much greater.
