Grabbed Sea Of Thieves on Game Pass. Not very fun without a mic. Thought I could just hook my old 360 headset into the One controller, but of course that doesn't work. Greedy fucks.

No, it is most definitively not a stockpiling issue. The food is not going rotten on me. It gets promptly picked up and converted to simple meals which are than promptly stored in my freezer. The problem is that I can barely grow enough to last between harvests. And any sort of disaster, even a minor one murders my crops and leaves me starving. Or if need be, kill some of your colonists and eat them, or just dispose of them so they dont eat any more.

That is disgusting. Those re my people you are talking about. I have a duty to protect them.

Hmmm, have you tried trading with visitors for food instead? It might be able to give you enough to survive between harvests, silver, weapons and furniture are good things to sell of, as well as Art. What is your pawn schedule like? Do they have a lot of free time? Also what is the size of your crop growing areas like?

I have no allied factions, only neutrals so trade caravans are rare. And visitors generally only have a handful of food for personal use that I do snatch up but it's too little.

Free time is rare. Everyone is working all the time like the good little workers that they are. As for my crop areas I have the following:
3 x full sized fields of strawberries
3 x full sized fields of corn
1 x full sized field of potatoes
Full sized being the area around one farming lamp. Total colonists is 19 though.

The Cyberdemon fight on Ultra Violence is insane. Really makes you move and doesn't let you go.

You know that trope where the boss shits out a million billion missiles, and you see where they're going everywhere? He does that but he still attacks you with the anime flame sword stuff and the hugeass beam while you run like a decapitated chicken to the nearest safe zone.

Loads of parkour, MOAR DAKKA, rock music, and sweat. Awesome fight.

And then I smashed his head, IN LIKE THIS!

You know, I'm seeing the flaw in grabbing The Witcher 3 on Game Pass despite never playing the first 2. I have like zero investment in the narrative, cause I don't know the narrative.

Witcher 3 is actually pretty easy to get into as a newcomer imo, i never played 1 or 2 either and i got hooked on the game fine. I didnt feel like i needed to play 1 or 2 to get the Witcher 3 outside of a handful of things that are talked about in the game.

Yeah, when I first played through it I could understand everything pretty well despite not having played the first two. I would look up lore occasionally on the wiki when something caught my interest but the game puts it all forward for the player pretty well. I’d say the benefit of at the very least playing Assassin of Kings though is that some of the decisions you make carry over to 3 if you’re playing on Xbox or PC which is cool.

Happened to me. I remember not understanding anything about the part where you have to travel to the Emperor at the beginning. It’s not hard to understand the story as it goes on though.

So I grabbed Doom 2016 with my Game Pass...and learned you shouldn't start until it's 100% downloaded. Cause I went in when it hit that "Ready To Play" mark, and it was missing voices, textures, the enemies were basically shadows, no lighting etc. Ready to play my ass.

And the only way to fix it was to uninstall it and reinstall it. That game takes an assload of time to download, and I had to do it twice.

I don’t know why Grimm’s "voice" in Hollow Knight feels somehow disappointing to me.
I guess it feels too “on your face” with tone.

For some reason my region has alternating superhot and supercold events. It's like I settled in the steppes of Stalingrad. Like 50+C in the summer and -50 C in the winter. So my fields have heaters and coolers and are generally as comfy as my workers. On the plus side I managed to stabilize my food economy by just adding more fields.

Im doing the life story playlist on the Master Chief Collection (play through halos 1 through 4 on normal with no modifications) for a nice chill achievement run, and im on 343 guilty spark in Halo CE. Man i love the way the flood are introduced. Very ominous level and all the blood and dead bodies, blips on the radar, the helmet recording, all good stuff. New graphics kind of undo some of the effects tho imo, the level is very very bright compared to the original graphics and some of the blood and environment effects are hard to see. Still good stuff tho

You can always change them back. I do believe they had a button to change the graphics from remastered to original while in mid game.

I've gotten back into NetHack in a real way recently. Been experimenting with different spellcasting-based builds. I think I've fallen in love with the Monk role - being able to literally punch my way into the high levels before getting powerful spells is just so much fun.

Its entertaining at times because trees, rock placements etc are a bit different on the new graphics
