I'm not a sports person either. You tried any Pokèmon or Final Fantasy games? I don't have experience with the latter, but they're supposed to be good. Pokèmon games are a lot of fun, and you don't need internet, especially with the older titles.

Sorry if I am picky but I HATE that kind of fluffy cuteness, it makes me hurl.

That game is dead to me at this point, to the extent that personally I don't regard half the shit in it as canon anymore.

Take Elder Scrolls Online. I remember a quest that has you go to an abandoned town overrun with mobs. Completing the quest repopulates the place and turns it into a settlement with vendors and everything, but other players who haven’t done the quest will still see mobs there. There’s no interaction at all between them, so the mobs are gone for people who did the quest, the vendors are absent for people still on it, and the two kinds of players can’t see each other at all unless they’re on the same page. I thought it was pretty impressive.
And it was part of the main map. Not a dungeon or anything.

Hence why the Fallout style of gameplay and the multiplayer elements mix about as well as oil and water. Multiplayer just needs to get the fuck out of Fallout.
