If nothing else, Blizzard do some really neat cinematics.

Their Heart of the Swarm cinematic/trailer is one of my all time favourites too.

I was going to complain how in Disco Elysium thought cabinet don't advance over night. Or at least don't seem to.

Twenty five something hour given my combined playtime is now at 33h I guess. But I've seen people cite much longer playthrough like in ballpark of 60-90 hours, so I either I didn't scrounge enough content with first character interation or I blasted throught the walls of dialogue really fast.

Started my first playthrough of Pokemon Diamond last night. Playing completely blind so I might miss a lot of stuff. I picked Turtwig and nicknamed him Atlas, he's already at level 21.

Still playing Hoi4 and likeing it.

Kinda. I was able to send troops to France early game but now I have troops in the UK that refuse to go anyplace. Every time I try the game says '0 divisions selected' so there just kinda stuck there.

Should problby get back to Luigi's mansion 3.

Arceus dammit, now I'm thinking of making a playthrough of Pokemon Sapphire with Mudkip as my starter. Yes, I know about the old meme.

I picked Mudkip in Emerald. Swampert is quite good.

So I learned that my system can Handle The Outer Worlds (to a definition of "handle". There are lots of lags on any graphics level but my laptop is like, 2014-era so that is to be expected. And I must admit the interactions between your followers is pretty amusing. I've been going with Felix and Parvati thus far, but have unlocked SAM, the Vicar guy, and I just got the huntress in monarch as a follower (in quest) so there's that.

And when I say amusing I mean I was literally laughing like a madman for seven minutes when I accidentally jumped down and died and Parvati went "captain NOOOO"

sadly there's no ability to sit yet... which is a bummer. Then again, it is a 1st person shooter so that isn't too out of ordinary.

I was playing a bit of Masters of Orion, a fairly aged game, mainly because I havent played a good 4X space game for awhile. But damn, this game provides good cinematic cutscenes. Im just rampaging through the galaxy with this ungodly doomstack. I have currently optimized half of the galaxy.

Metacritic opened up user reviews for Death Stranding, and they're as appropriately polarising as you might think.

I get the feeling review scores for this one are going to be pretty worthless. You've as many fanboys are there are haters, and both are drowning out the legitimate reviews.

I think it looks quite good, but I like games with exploration and a good narrative. If that isn't everyone's cup of tea then it's understandable why they'd mark it down.

I think if it was a case of "Alright, I guess, but not for me" there'd be a few more in the "mixed" category.

This is the internet. People are rarely indifferent. They are either kowtowing before something or slinging vitriol at it.

I dunno, if you look at the Rage 2 user reviews, you get about the middling mix you'd expect.

21.8% Mixed, compared to Death Stranding's 3.2%.
Rage 2 got 5.8 compared to DS's 6.1 (as of checking)

Some people are very mad that Hideo Kojima said that there are politics in the Norman Reedus Piss Adventures game.

I was watching a stream of it earlier. It was on mute, but I'm pretty sure that they got him to take a piss and tried to swivel the camera around, but the character kept shifting position so his back was always to the camera.

You need to stare at it when he is sat on the bed, it's the only way to get it to work.

I'd say I'll try it, but I don't think I have any intention of picking it up any time soon.

Maybe if I come across it on a Steam Sale in a couple years.

From Norman's perspective it'd actually be a camera floating around him all day with nobody holding it. It's surprising he waits until that point to punch it. :p
