The other game Outer Worlds wants me to pick up and play again is actually not New Vegas, it's Viscera Cleanup Detail.

Honestly, a game that allows me to check a box saying I'm a space janitor is all I really want from the world.

I did a playthrough on a friend’s xbox where I just slaughtered every living person I came across. It was surprisingly easy. Melee weapons are kinda OP.

That's probably the easiest way to piss people off. The subtler way is through dialogue options, or stealing shit and then running away.

Why do you ask that, if it's based on novels?

And the game was based on the novels...I assume. I've never played a Witcher game or read the books...didn't even know there was a book before today.

But yeah, it looks like promising retelling of the novels thus far.

Playing the new Modern Warfare right now. I am enjoying it immensely. It has a really fun more gritty realistic vibe. I think it is one of the best COD games in a while.

I'm enjoying the campaign a lot. The multiplayer is a bit.. questionable, what with literally everyone using karabiners and Olympias. The revamped Ground War mode is neat I guess, but it just makes me wish I was playing BF1 instead.

I see Modern Warfare went for the "How many warcrimes can we depict every hour" Also the villains in that game are so over the top with their evilness lol

Death Stranding reviews are coming in.
Eurogamer
Metacritic

The metacritic score is high, but reading the reviews I think it's going to be a mixed bag. Goods and bads. If it's your thing you'll like it, kind of a game.

Yeah it is definitely pretty over the top with regards how it depicts groups like the Russian army and the villains (like most COD villains TBH) have that extreme over the top levels of evil. But if you simply ignore that the game is honestly pretty fun.

The multiplayer for the new CoD seems to mostly rely on camping in corners, like, even more than the previous games. I feel like the more complicated maps have contributed to that a lot. I do like the new realism mode, though. It's weird actually seeing people slowly advance forward, checking corners, etcetera.

Luigi's mansion 3 is going fantastic so far.
I'm loving the game, but the constant hints from E. Gadd while exploring are annoying.

Exploring and puzzle solving is really fun and so is the combat.

And at least E. Gadd's hints are optional in the settings and they aren't as bad as the Otis calls from Dead Rising 1.

You can still move and do things while the hint is going off, unlike Otis's radio.

Criminals have been laundering money via the popular Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) video game, says creator Valve.

In a statement, it said the game had been targeted by global cyber-criminals looking to "liquidate their gains".

The thieves exploited the game's loot-gathering systems, which allow players to trade keys and unlock rewards for real cash.

Valve said it had updated the game so keys could no longer be traded online.

So I just finished Modern Warfare. I honestly loved the game and I think it is the best COD game in years and a major breath of fresh air. The game holds nothing back showing massacres and having you do some pretty questionable things and making hard choices. It has this really refreshing gritty realistic tone and the more stealth based missions are also pretty fun as are the large firefight sections.

I do have one complaint thought and that is how it handles the Russians. I am not opposed to showing war crimes and such but the game kind of goes overboard with it. It make the Russian army look like a bunch of evil murdering monsters and that kind of left a bad taste in my mouth so to speak.

But aside from that the campaign was an awesome experience. I would rate it an 9 out of 10.

I already wasn't interested in CoD, but the Russian stuff just makes me even more wary of the game. Especially the stuff about changing certain IRL stuff, like making an RL American war crime a Russian one.

Plus, I'd prefer to play as Russians because I dislike the US military.

Why does every COD game have stealth moments in the campaign now?

So they’re actually decent here?

idk man, none of the "choices" in the game felt very hard, and the only particularly "questionable" ones, ethically, were both part of a certain interrogation scene near the end of the game. Beyond some of the added gimmicks it felt very much like the original MW or MW2 campaign with differing topical set pieces. I think this was more or less CoD's attempt at a hard reboot because the franchise had kind of gone off the rails in terms of tone, with the stories and set pieces getting progressively more and more silly and/or absurd. This is the right direction to go, but we'll have to see how they handle things going forward.
