Such is life in the Zone.
If you are into mods you should try Call of Chernobyl. They basically merged all 3 games into one in terms of the map and stuff. So you get to explore all of the zone. Still as insane.

Generally my skepticism spikes when we start talking about corporations hiring people to harass others, because it's dumb. Is there any proof other than the YouTuber's word?

If you want to pro-corporation spiel, IGN has a article covering it. However cant say its a good article, but rather a article Take Two has explaining why they did the things they did.

If the problem is violations over NDAs then the thing to do is internally investigate yourself for the leaks, like, you know, a normal company.

Facts:
- People are idiots at the best of times.
- Most high ranking corporate officials are sociopaths as sociopathic behavior correlates with what you need to get ahead in life.
- Corporate leaders basically newer get punished for anything they order the company to do.
- #1 and #2 and #3 combined with idiotic amounts of money on hand and you get crap like this.
