Only limitation is that since it's made free for this time, no Steam trading cards from this game.

343 really is just....a total bed shitter when it comes to level design evidently. Halo Wars 2 has some bizarre tower defence inspired level where you have to protect barricades from waves of enemies. It seems like it could be fun from the premise as you can just place infantry and turrets strategically from the tops of canyons that fire down on enemies as the waves get progressively more difficult and such. Only, a few massive problems: most units can't shoot down on enemies unless very specifically placed and they usually abandon their spot to chase after enemies and dont shoot them at all, they cant shoot over the barricades, and the wave difficulty progression is absolutely broken and only 3 waves in or so they through a bunch of tank armored vehicle units that are nearly impossible to counter at the stage your bases and economy are at. Even more, the barricades get destroyed in about 3 seconds and utterly fail to serve their purpose as a holding mechanism to give you time to move your units into place.

This just reminded me of the frustration of trying to keep my archers from running off the walls in Battle for Middle-earth II.

Halo Wars 2 was mostly developed by creative assembly i believe. It was largely the same team behind Alien Isolation.

Now those are two very different games.

Personally I thought Halo Wars 2 was disappointing. It was a step in the right direction with more leaders and more creative units, but the gameplay falls flat. I want it to be better than it is.

Fuck that is EXACTLY what it reminds me of actually.

Halo Wars 2 in general is just quite bizarre. Once again it feels a bit like fanfiction like 343s other games. Not to mention one of the multiplayer modes is basically a mobile game like flash royale

Overall, I find it far more frustrating than entertaining so far unlike the first one. Maybe it's because the enemies and conflict felt like they were important and served a purpose other than being some boring mary sue faction led by the chief of the mary sue.

Like seriously? A bunch of fucking brutes that managed to somehow best the covenant but at the same time are only being mentioned now and presented as somehow being an even bigger threat than the covenant was? Yeah okay....

Nope.

The one (surviving antenna out of three) is pointed up and the legs (retracted beacuse if they were extended one would explode) are down.

I feel like Wolfenstein II has alot more segments that require stealth to get past but overall, I am enjoying it as much as the first.

I tried playing it shortly after release, but I quickly remembered that Eugen destroyed my ability to play 90% of RTS games.

Nintendo, the only thing I need for Spatoon 3 is for that game to tell the diffrence between an intentional disconect and when my switch loses wifi for one billionth of a nanosecond and kicks me out.

Also please fix NSO. I pay more for my XBL Gold but my Xbox one doesnt randomly disconect me.

Strangly enough my xbox one, laptop, ps3 are all on the same wifi, yet they dont disconect me for no good reason. They all find the wifi just fine. There also about 2-3 meters away from my switch. I still love Nintendo but the fact that I have to play them 20$ a year for NSO when it keeps DCing me for no good reason is kinda bs.

Go team order btw

I'm currently going through The Old Codgers DLC for Bloodborne and Research Hall is giving me PTSD flashbacks to the Duke's Archives.

The Chains of Harrow quest was alright. Not as scary as I thought, but still somewhat creepy.

Although I wasn't ready for a jumpscare right afterwards. Turned around and saw my operator sitting criss-cross applesauce next to the radio and heard a demonic "Hey Kiddo". That was enough to suffice some swearing.
For context, it looked sort of like this.
And I heard this can happen almost entirely at random. Geez DE, do you want me to have paranoia?
