Yeah, I'm done. Guardian Ape is far enough. Time to delete Sekiro.

I thought Genichiro was a fucking retarded boss fight, but at least he was easy to take down, and I could go back to exploring Senpou Temple, the one area in the game that I actually enjoy running around. Guardian Ape is the pinnacle of lazy, boring, broken FromSoft boss design though.

> Oversized Beast boss (as if FromSoft wasn't banking on those enough already in Dark Souls II, III, and Bloodborne.)
> Lunges and jumps across the arena, player spends more time sprinting around trying to get to the boss than they do actually attacking it.
> Spams unblockable attacks, flurry attacks, and 270 degree swiping attacks because those are the hardest to counter
> Has a stupid hidden second phase
> Also gets AoE attacks in said phase

That's enough for me. I fucking wanted to like this game, but every single time I find something to enjoy, there comes a dozen other things that drive home just how subpar and busted the game is, and these awful bosses are the cherry on top of the shit sundae. They're littered around the world by the dozens, and the ones that aren't just glorified slightly bigger enemies are literally painful to fight for how fucking awful they are.

I'll just be playing Nioh again while I wait for Nioh 2 and Ghost of Tsushima.

Out of curiosity which if any of the bosses in Dark Souls 1 and 2 (if you played them) did you find equally insufferable?

Unfortunately they only had the shit Zoo Tycoon game from 2013, BUT I am overwhelmingly excited and feeling nostalgic at discovering the makers of Planet Coaster are releasing a Zoo Tycoon successor called Planet Zoo this fall. I'm so amazingly excited and can't wait. Figured this was a good place to announce and share that news/excitement.

They look like they're one of two companies that worked on that one, at least from what I see, but it could also be Microsoft limited their creative abilities. Because looking at their other games: Planet Coaster, Jurassic World Evolution, and even looking all the way back at Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 (specifically the zoo/animal expansion pack), they appear extremely capable of making Planet Zoo an absolutely amazing game.

I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft was the reason behind Zoo Tycoon 2013 being such an awful game.
