I was literally on the brink of losing my muslim empire. A brutal war with the abbasids for Persia ends, got hit by two civil wars for rival claimants to the throne and had 4 religious and peasant uprisings scattered throughout. I finished this set of wars with an army of 100k men reduced to 11k men and hundreds in debt and didnt get a positive income till 6 months later. I also had to release half of the persian lords i conquered as they threatened war if they were not allowed to go independent and i could not afford another war.

So it turns out it's hypothetically possible to take Haesteinn and use him to form the HRE, in terms of hitting realm size, with a well-sieged prepared invasion.

So some weird shit happened recently in ck2 for me.

I recently put down an independence faction war, and imprisoned the lords who led the rebellion. Yet the second i won, some of the vassals of these lords immediately became independent.

What the fuck? Like i literally just won a war to stop that from happening, and it happens anyway? Like half of the vassals of the sultan of Bulgaria just upped and left my realm with no notification.

So some weird shit happened recently in ck2 for me.

I recently put down an independence faction war, and imprisoned the lords who led the rebellion. Yet the second i won, some of the vassals of these lords immediately became independent.

What the fuck? Like i literally just won a war to stop that from happening, and it happens anyway? Like half of the vassals of the sultan of Bulgaria just upped and left my realm with no notification.

Is it possible he died while having too many vassals? I think a vassal being over their vassal limit can cause that to happen.

I have had this before while playing as Georgia. No idea how it happens. It is possible there were internal rebellions when you won, but as far as I know it is just a bug.

and now I have about 128 prisoners of both sex between 15 and 45
also 73 that are reaching 15
and more than half of them will either fetch me no reward in ransom or can't be ransomed at all
am I grateful I picked equality as one of my reformation's traits

Pick the brightest and educate them for your next generation of lords. I routinely do that for great effect.
Take the girls as concubines and/or marry them off to your mail heirs to ensure they don't cause trouble by getting married into some noble family you dislike.

I might do that if and when I get a non-married ruler without any heir so that I can kickstart the new bloodline, but until then, I'm busier bolstering my dynasty. The good thing is that there's like, 60 living members of my dynasty that are within child-bearing age so there's that. I'll add as many of them into court as I can, concubine/consort as many left, and kill/ransom anyone who's above 45 and/or not concubinable. (Includes 4 Empresses, 7 Queens, and 11 Kings)

Nah he didnt die, he is in a cell since the war ended.

It's official. I burned out on paradox games. HOI4 is too easy and CK2 just does not engage me any more. And I newer liked the others anyway. Too bad as well, used to be a fan.
