The Byzantine Emperor surrendered the island to me after a year or so of skirmishes on Sardinia and in Tunisia, praise Allah or something.

Progress so far in my ck2 ironman muslim game

Got most of North Africa to the west of Egypt under my control, though the Umayyads beat me to some of it. I just captured part of it from a catholic uprising in the Umayyad Caliphate tho so that was handy. Ive also taken over all of Corsica to compliment Sardinia, and taken Capua in Italy. I also sacked Rome and took St Jon's finger from their treasury, get dabbed on Pope boi.

My current character is shite at everything bar diplomacy, his heir is a bit more well rounded though no amazing stats. My plans are to try and nab some land off of the Umayyads if they fall into a revolt or just get weak enough, and try to expand more into Italy as Christendom is just a fucking mess in general. About a third of catholic land in europe has went Lollard or Cathar, fratacellis are spreading in the British Isles and the Byzantines went Iconoclast. The Vikings have also taken over large parts of France.

Not sure if going into Africa would be worth it.

Just put down a pretty big revolt over in pagan Saxony over crown authority, which then allowed me to force a bunch of stubborn lords over there to convert, so hopefully the Christianisation of Germany goes over better. Also, I conquered Jutland, because it once was the land of the Angles, now I am the true Anglo-Saxon Kingdom.

Serbia has lost east francia as their tributary by the way, and Bulgaria has cut them in half.

Now i have not played it, but it only grabbed my interest for a brief moment then i lost it again.

Out of the ones i have played, EU4 is my least favourite.

I can enjoy EU4 until combat happens. I can't see how a battle 3 to 1 leads to defeat without RNG scummery. Atleast I can limit the RNG with strategic placement of commanders and unit composition in ck2, but in EU4 its just so streamlined and simplistic it has to rely on RNG.

I voted Stellaris because despite being the type of game i desired most failed to keep my interest and I can never invest a solid playthrough of.

Ugh, I hate that. The two things in EU4 that I just loath are it's combat system and rivalry system, they suck a lot of the fun out of the experience. However, I voted HoI4. It just doesn't interest me, no matter how many times I try to get into it.

I know I've mentioned it here, but I'm actually gonna do it. An AAR where Stalin travels to the past to avoid a German Victory in WW2! My goals will primarily be:

-Destroy Orthodox Christianity in the Rus, and replace it with an egalitarian, cosmopolitan Slavic faith.
-Kill all Rurikids (Germanic Invaders, Forebears of the Romanovs heck off)
-Destroy the Holy Roman Empire (Avenge 1942!)
And last but not least, become Tsar of all Rus.
