The idea is that only councillors can vote and only councillors can be voted for, so being given a seat is a clear shot to the throne.
I can actually select it as a law...
but it's just feudal elective under a different name. Surprisingly there are no online tutorials or guides on adding new succession laws, which I find extremely odd.

should do it based on imperial elective so your vassals hate you for appointing your heirs/yesmen to the council

After a bit more time, the 7 electors in Navarra are my random nieces, nephews, and some Muslim dude in Zaragosa. I have no idea why the game thinks this way.

That's fair. Like I said, I'm not passing judgement yet. But considering this is a studio where I had to pay $0.99 for my Tibetan characters not to look vaguely Arabic, it's hard to have much faith in them.

Well if we're playing strict to canon then nobody should really want a thinblood since they're signs of the Final Nights and are usually hunted. Besides, the demo has a mission where you're given the option to hand over a Nosferatu thinblood to the actual clan where he'd be protected.

From what I've gathered there are a lot of thin bloods in modern nights, so I guess people are over the whole "portent the end times" thing. Or at least, over it enough to put thin bloods to work waging jyhad.

I don't think it's a permanent condition. As I understand it, a few hours into the story you'll get to join a clan and get access to their Disciplines. This suggests to me that there'll be some diablerie or something to lower your generation. I hardly think that you can pick up clan traits like the lunacy of the Malkavians just by agreeing to work with them to the exclusion of working with other clans.

My guess is that you'd like to do that for story/RP reasons, since Caitiff/thinblood Princes are a sign of the Final Nights and it would be sick to be part of the prophecy fufilled.Ifreann wrote:I don't think it's a permanent condition. Yeah now that you mention it they'd probably have to do something to lower your generation, but at the same time it can't be diablerie since anyone sufficient enough in Auspex (like most decently-powerful Kindred) would out you and the Camarilla would have none of that. So either you're playing as the Sabbat (which would be kinda neat) or they're gonna do something real wonky to make it work.

It's already been confirmed that you acquire proper blood through a hunt.

a diablerie from the blood hunt yes.
Actually i'm only 99% sure. I swear i read it that it was the cure to thin-blood in the game but i could have just read a really good speculation.

I mean hey, you got Mexico to mobilize all the children and elderly to come support their shitty army so you're doing SOMETHING right
Usually if you have to mobilize you've already lost the war, unless you pull some cheap shit by completely avoiding combat and focusing on capturing land like the AI usually does, and the RNG usually has it in for you by that point.
The trick is, I find, to decimate the invading country's army before you start capturing land. That way, they can't move past your front line to start ninja'ing warscore from you and, more importantly, no surprise off-screen doomstack, at least one you can't handle. Plus, your AI allies can capture land for you.
Also, if you can afford it... Always have your army at max capacity and readiness. I haven't yet found a reason not to.

Seems a bit weird (or contrived) that the Camarilla would just be okay with you breaking one of their rules, particularly one as offensive as diablerie (penalty of death according to LaCroix), hunt or no hunt.

It's also pretty hard to cover up, since you get a nasty aura that makes other vampires uncomfortable, not to mention blood-hunting an actually powerful vampire is both incredibly difficult and incredibly suspicious, since his friends are gonna come looking for them if they just disappear.
It's a good way to get caught and executed by either the Camarilla or that vampire's clan bros.

The Camarilla sanctioned the blood hunt presumably to get rid of a problem who has no friends or friends to be killed early in the game. I'd assume the aura would be a major plot point as well.
I just need to find the damn article that explains it.
