Anyways...

Shortly before I invaded Hungary with the permission of the Pope, someone also usurped Poland while under vassalage of the Kaiser.

Those are some of the most beautiful borders of the HRE I've ever seen. Brings a tear to my eye

No literally, I just keep asking random count courtiers.

reminds me of how op it is to swear fealty to the HRE as Poland and Hungary. You get the Kaiser's army AND the bonus to electability for being a king

You're close enough, not zealous, and are the player.

Because I have no willpower (and they were on sale) I caved and purchased Monks and Mystics, The Old Gods, Sons of Abraham, and Sunset Invasion. Now hopefully there won't be any more expansions that I'm tempt -

remembers Holy Fury

Blast it all.

I love the civil war feature in CK2, it's weirdly satisfying how, instead of them being an overglorified riot, they're their own temporary nation with laws, soldiers, etc

The start menu practically looks like a mini-mart, with a ton of suggestions for DLC marginally related to the character I click on.

Good. The rebel doomstacks of EU and Victoria are broken or just outright stupid. CK2's only flaw is that it opens up a lot of weird diplomacy, because there's nothing better than the 3 different Byzantine Rebel Emperors asking to marry my daughter.

Apparently you have to buy The Old Gods in order to be able to play the Aztecs even despite you owning Sunset Invasion.

Literally making you buy an expansion to unlock parts of the expansion you already bought.

3.0 came with a lot of decisions to make form new de jure kingdoms. The Archduchy of Austria and the alternate decision Gather the lands of the Eastern Marches, a few kingdoms in Germany can be made, the Swiss Confederation, Bosnia, Antioch if you're Catholic...

The Abyssinia/Nubia area. I just asked very very nicely.

Oh, you don't have the East African portraits. That makes more sense.

The only time that makes no sense is during independence wars with more than one vassal gunning for independence.

Sunset Invasion is a bit disappointing tbh. So much potential, but very little content.

You can form the Slavic Union (Empire tier) too, if you rule all the East and West Slavic kingdoms (South Slavic not included, for some reason). You can also form the "Empire of the Outremer" if you control the entire Near East region as the King of Jerusalem.

That does not seem like it should be a thing that works. I'm a Catholic, they're Stealthily Shia.
I shall now exploit this knowledge when I land on a character of appropriate age.
