The Kingdom of Ireland has primogeniture; those other titles do not. You need to a) kill their current heir or b) change their succession laws to primogeniture too.

So, Stellaris unpopular opinion probably.

I want dynamic sector factions back, and I think it would work even better now that sectors are this butchered static style.

Remember the old single-issue faction system from like 1.5? Remember when you'd piss a sector off and they'd just decide "welp, time to leave?"

The workaround was always just to shove happy planets into the sector. But now with static sectors and the nuanced pop system, you can't just repopulate entire sectors or reshape sectors to make them now a demographic problem.

I think sectors would be fun to get those secessionist events back. And maybe just sector/governor-focused events in general. Also just single-issue temporary factions were fun and would be cool to see somehow worked back in.

Just on my PDXmas list for next year, I guess, since something like that might go into the totallynot!politics update that will hopefully include internal politics.

I won twice out of the like 10-12 games played. My sister won the most with like 7.

Ahhhh you did a bad that I only recently stopped doing. You have multiple kingdom titles without having an imperial title.
What happens is that your primary title Eire is set to primogeniture but the other two are still on gavelkind since they are equal titles rather than inferior titles. BUT since you have 3 kingdom titles you should form an empire through decisions panel or quickly form Britannia before you die.

Another option is to give the other kingdom titles to your heir but at the risk of him doing jack & shit to help and everything detrimental.

The Saxons will give you prestige but the English will give you provinces. Brittania is a per-existing title and thus cheaper to form.

On a side note if the english have a civil war (should be called English Revolt and have a different map color) you need to declare war on the revolt ASAP and mobilize the troops quickly to steal a province or several. Be warned this also makes regular english troops "hostile" so don't run in naked, BUT this does mean you can smash a few small english armies thus lowerign their civil war war score and making it easier for you to take the provinces from the revolt
