Catholicism is super fucked in my game. Aside from Balkanizing in terms of religious unity and Catholicism having 0% moral authority, they've lost almost all of France to the Ummuyads, and Bohemia (Slavic, also controls Bavaria and the Southern third of Germany) just mass-converted to Sunni.

The Orthodox are doing much better, and have mass-converted Pannoinia, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, etc.

The Sunni meanwhile have the problem of Arabia belonging to the Magyars now, but are still pushing 100% moral authority due to consistent conquests and conversions.

The major threat to Scandinavia is the Ummuyads and the Khazars, though those fucking wastelander tribes of Suomenusko are giving me trouble due to rock bottom supply rates meaning I can field about as many troops as they can in the area (2-3k.) without starvation.

I think Civ 5 does a good job at simulating bronze age society.
