I LOVE that portrait.

I really wanna convert to Sunni, as I control the holy sites needed to form the Sunni Caliphate, but I also really REALLY wanna form Outremer.

What are the chances that I could convert to Sunni, not form the Caliphate, use the Muslim CBs to conquer the Near East, convert back to Catholicism, and then form Outremer in roughly 200 years?

You might permanently lose the option on the first conversion, but iunno.

I don't think that's the case, looking at the files.

Is everyone going to just ignore what a terrible, tortured set of borders Sicily has got there? It's like everywhere you look, they just have some random province sitting around, with no explanation as to how the hell that came about.

Of course it's not time. It's never time, not on its own. You make it time. If you're under fire in the no-man's land of WW1, you start digging a foxhole even if the ideal time would be when you *aren't* being bombarded, because once you wait for it to be 'time', other situations will need your attention, assuming you survive that long. If the fields aren't furrowed, plow them. If the iron is not hot, make it so. If society is not ready, change it.

I can explain Jerusalem.
One of my more powerful vassals owned a bunch of land in Jerusalem, and when he died, it passed onto Sicily. Or maybe the King of Sicily died and my vassal inherited it.
Not sure.
Anyways, now I’m just slowly taking the counties back.

Y'know it's funny, I'm slowly becoming the opposite - I feel like this patch has done a lot right, but the whole game feels rediculously slower. Not performance wise, just - everything seems to take a lot longer.. I don't know if it's just me or what.

Personally, I find I spend more time on planet development. In an effort to remain somewhat flexible and prevent overspending of resources I don't pre-build any buildings, creating jobs only when I hit unemployment. With the number of planets I have and the speed of pop growth I find myself in the planet screen maintaining pops and jobs as much as I spend out of it.

I suspect I could automate some of it with sectors, but I haven't got around to testing out the new sector mechanics yet. That's this week's goal.

Considering how poorly the AI seem to be handling the new system, I wouldn't bank on automatic sector management being worthwhile.

Yeah, I need to look into this sector automation stuff. I have something like 20 planets and I think there's four or five that are full.

Paradox if we can have one major patch where the AI is now broken in some way that would be great.
