It's been confirmed that you can influence religious doctrines. If you can manipulate a religion to allow polygamy and gay marriage/concubinage, your dreams might come true - perhaps it would be even better, since your new doctrines would also apply to everyone else who follows the same religion.
And if that's not possible in the base game, perhaps it could be possible with mods. I don't think it is in CK2, but CK3 is going to be very different.

So I'm playing a 867(?) start game. Started as Engelschalk Wilhelmiden, count of Eppenstein, enlarged my realm to hold all of the duchies of Styria and Austria. During the Crusade (started in 900), put a bastard of the dyansty (also named Engelschalk) on the throne of Jerusalem and started playing as him. Changed his dynasty into "of Acre". Took the Kingdom of Syria on the second Crusade (which may or may not have made the Pope a bit mad). Plan is taking Egypt too, then forming "Empire of the Levant".

Also, I managed to make my kinslaying, bastard-bearing previous king who managed to singlehandedly make the Christians lose the Reconquest of Aragon by charging into the battle unannounced, losing most of his forces, and giving the Umayyads the 100% they needed to block the reconquest into a Saint.

I managed to get both Alexander and Grand Crusader bloodlines for one of my characters... but I decided to go back about 200 years earlier (back before I got the next guy sainted) just for the hell of it. Man CK2 gets boring after a while if you try to make your country's borders look good, rather than conquer everything and bang everyone :/

I meant revive the Coptic culture and make it dominant in the Levant.

Alternate challenge: Start as that one Coptic count who is a former peasant revolter in the 769 start. You are the only landed Coptic in the entire game, and the only landed Christian in Egypt in that start. All other vassals of the Abbasids consider you an infidel and won't even consider a marriage (no alliances or non-aggression pacts). Historically, the Coptic revolts were crushed by the Abbasids by 830. Good luck.

EUIV's Women in History FreeLC was integrated into the base game in a surprise patch and, naturally, the sexists have come out in droves. It's actually kind of amazing how blatant it is and just watching the actual scum get put down HARD is the greatest thing.

Love it when bigoted historical revisionists are forced to confront actual history, even if it's with something as small as this.

Was it deleted by Moderators? Most complaining I see is about how the patch has broken several mods and caused crashes.

Has there been any word on whether the Ruler Designer feature will be in the CK3 vanilla game or will that be something you have to buy again? I have never been able to have fun playing a long dead count or duke who I'm not related to. which is why I always play as a custom character.

If CK3 gives you much freer rein to reign exactly how you want, then it'll be a winner in my book.

I mean, if it's letting you personalize heresies, I'm assuming it'll be something like the EU4 gov't reform (in which there is a "Reform tree" and you elect new elements as you go on). At the very least it should be as engaging as the Pagan Reformation mechanics in CK2 imo.
