Smh, you guys didn't learn about Imperial China and Confucius in high school.

I learned about Chinese history in high school and got the 5 on the AP World History exam to show for it. However, I'm in the same boat as Bralia as I have already forgotten basically all of it except very vague concepts like legalism and Confucianism and shit. I even remember more about India, and I really, REALLY don't care about Indian history pre-Mughals.

That said, I chose Song solely because they're still the active dynasty in my current CK2 game and it's very convenient to be able to send any unruly sons to them as eunuchs. I wish they would have given me something other than a friggin' arm protector when I asked for an artifact though. I already have some neat gold bracelets.

Learned about Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism more than the actual governments and empires. A failing because even if the bureaucracy is complicated it is very important to know.
Really we were only taught about the destruction at the hands of the British and the rest of Europe.

As a history student I take it upon myself to fill in those horrible gaps. China doesn't interest me much but it is extremely important.
