This. I find my interest in games, not just Paradox games mind you, waxes and wanes, and sometimes I'll suddenly be in the mood for a game I've not touched months, or find a game I've been enjoying doesn't interest me anymore.

Don't buy into the casul propaganda. Dark Souls 1 is almost as easy as HOI4 with a fuck ton of cheats enabled. Just pick Deprived buy the Reinforced Club and GG EZ "Well what is it"

I would not call it as easy but it definitively isn't as hard as people like to make it out to be. At least not if you play it smart and don't act like an idiot. Yes, if you just rush in and think you can ignore enemies and just smite everyone in your way you will die. A lot. But unless you have that mindset you should have no problem.

The thing about DS is that it's one of those games that is very much perfectly tuned to give you a good amount of challenge without ever becoming bullshit, grindy or painful. And when it does get too hard you can summon other people or find ways to "cheese" the game that they have left in for you deliberately. And you get a sense of satisfaction from doing it on top of that because the challenge is there.

I beat O&S on my first ever attempt blind whilst using a +5 raw reinforced club, fat rolling with elite knight and fang boar helm, with no summons, and only 5 estus because I thought kindling only gave you one extra temporary estus charge.
Thus I reserve the right to call it easy and liken it to the easiest Paradox game with cheats.

Ok. Random question that is seriously bugging me out. How does the request conversion event work? I don't mean when *I* do the requesting. How does the AI decide to request mass conversion? What's the criteria? Do I just get relations to 100 with them and go with it?

Sister: Brother, I refuse to continue this engagement. Your son is both my cousin and nephew, this betrothal is an abomination to the Seven and must not be allowed to proceed.

Yea.. your experience is either out of the ordinary or you are a far better player than I. I actually had to struggle a bit at some segments. Like in Anor Lando there is that bit where you have to climb up a buttress whilst black knights are shooting javelin sized arrows down at you. I must have died there something like 3-4 times.

I put my work in to Git Gud but I'm still terrible at PVP. Doing a Caestus only run as my first ever run in DS3, hard but I did just beat Friede and just have the Ringed City and Soul of Cinder left to do.

But we've digressed enough seeing as how even a heavily modified CK2 wouldn't be able to capture Dark Souls
Let's take this over to the Soulsborne thread (if there is one)

Okay, I can't resist commenting on this, pardon the continuing threadjack: Dark Souls may be scary, but then you encounter a boss like Champion Gundyr whose moveset is so bad-ass that you can't be upset when you get roundhouse kicked to death.

The abbasids became Yazidi at some point in my game, thats neat. Maybe they will kill themselves for me because after murdering like 30 of them im getting a bit sick and tired of the buggers remaining stable.

right so the abbasids had a bunch of revolts, like 4-5 at the same time, two wars of tyranny, a general revolt, a peasant revolt and a religious one.

One of the war of tyranny revolts win, and the caliph is deposed and a new caliph, a kid, takes over. Then another revolt that was at 99% won, and that kid was deposed, and the last caliph, who was his heir is now back in charge as caliph.

Three years of fighting, for the fucker to end back up on the throne after being deposed for a week.

lol
