If you people are so up and done with this style of constant development, why are you continuing to buy these games and their DLCs? What are you doing in this community? I really want an explanation from the people who think they know better at how to make games than the professionals.

I understand that it's difficult to make games, but that doesn't mean I can't criticize them for obvious flaws their system has.
I'm not saying that releasing missing content later was the wrong thing to do - I've defended that very decision earlier in this thread - but rather I'm saying that it shouldn't be a paid feature. Feel free to tell me how I don't know how game design works or whatever it is you're going to do, but it's my opinion, and I'll defend it if you want me to, but I'd rather not get into another pointless argument.

The only good grand strategy games I can think of that aren't Paradox's are the Age of Empires games, and those haven't really aged as well as I might like. (And they're arguably just RTSes with a historical theme to them, anyway, so they might not even count.)

In what world has a patch ever been worth direct money?
And you know what? I'm going to use this post to express my deep-seated hatred towards myself, because I've already spent 20 minutes just trying to figure out where I would begin to start an argument. Because I am the WORST person at actually waging proper arguments. It's why I've never done a damn thing in NSG despite regularly lurking there. My brain has the organizational skills of a rampaging rhino in a Thai shop. Why do I start argumentative shit like this? It literally take me hours to write up a single page of anything. Constant rewrites, re-thoughts, re-wordings,-------GAAAAAAAH, my fucking brain! It stresses me out just trying to figure out my own damn thoughts and put it into a coherent sentence. Somebody put a bullet in me and shut me up. I'm clicking this submit button and going to sleep, my brain is a fucking mess even at the best of times.

This. I don't think I've ever played a historical dynasty in CK2 except as a one-time challenge, or a historical EU4 nation, because I don't find the appeal in reenacting long dead dynasties or countries instead of creating my own. Modding is really the only thing that makes these games remotely fun for me, because the Paradox vanilla is so overwhelmingly boring (even Monks & Mystics which has Satanic incestuous orgies).

I'm personally sticking around for a Chinese/Asian game.
I assume they didn't include China fully into CK2 because it would chug the game harder than a pile of bricks, but still, I'd love to have China represented when it was obscenely powerful.
Plus, Korea and Japan. VIKINGS VS SAMURAI VS KOREANS WHEN.

Because it'd be rude to say "You have a good idea but mine is better." The entire thread has a negative opinion of me already (huskar excluded).

I would love a playable China in CK2, but in the one mod that i know that adds it makes the game lag super hard.

Kung-fu school rivalries are the coolest thing in the world and the fact we don't have a strategy game about them is a crime against humanity.

My first reaction too. XD
I wish you could just randomize the world without randomizing cultures and religions, just nations.
