I love Dwarf Fortress.

I always build mountain bases in rimworld.


It usually ends in sorrow as a hive of insects overruns my base and eats everyone but still.


I will carve out a moria of my own one day and hold it.

I haven’t played as much Rimworld as Dwarf Fortress because you can’t theoretically build a cheeseocracy.

A giant stone disc with runoff channels, slots that are just the right side for floodlights and generators and whose center has been meticulously scorched by huge bonfires and poisoned by means of that strange glow in the dark ore my people seem to be dying off. Just to spite future archeologists.

I just want to be able to make historically accurate designs. As many of the battleships and heavy cruisers had torpedoes at the time. The Tirpitz, Arizona, Hyūga, Nagato, Queen Elizabeth, Revenge, Deutschland and Tirpitz to name a few. There was a general trend at the time to believe in the fact that a giant ship with giant guns and enough displacement to carry said guns and their ammo could also carry some quite nasty torpedoes to augment that.

Update. I have managed to experimentally add superheavy battleship cannons to a carrier. So it can be done and quickly.

Much fun shall ensue for this.

I am open to ideas. And yes, I do intend to mod my self in a sub aircraft carrier and a sub battleship as well as those zany battleship-carrier hybrids with both a flight deck and main guns.

Yet somehow the americans who tended to be allergic to adding torpedoes to anything bigger than a destroyer were regarded as having the best cruiser designs of the war.

No wonder a lot of people only play this game for the mods.

No wonder a lot of people only play this game for the mods.
