Finally had time to dive into CK2 and started a game in Kiev. I don't know why, but I wanted to start as a female ruler, right from the get go. Sure it was tough early on, but my ruler has become quite the fighter. In fact, she was able to form a kingdom out of her first generation! It was dumb luck that I raided a nomadic tribe, and allowed me to kidnap the Khanate's 4 children. This allowed me to ransom them 74 gold each. Allowing me to form the Kingdom of Ruthenia. During unification of Ruthenia, I had obtained my nickname, Queen Dobrava 'the Great Bear' of Ruthenia.

Do any of you recommend EU4?

EU4 is my favourite, even if it's no one else's. It's more straightforward than CK2, while the historical setting gives it more character than Stellaris. Once you've got the hang of it, it's the sort of game you can play while listening to an audiobook, which suits me very well.

Zone of Control is still bullshit, though.

... So on the Random World generator for CK2 you can customize the religions in the random world... though you can't change their icon :/ So... that's something to be improved... nor the description... nor the divine names.... it's not the best customization.

Next to 'Generate' is a green play button that opens up the menu for customizing religions in a randomized world. But you can't add or remove any or well can't do the others stuff I've listed. You can just changed it's nature, doctrine, and leadership.

Well.... some fucking german duchess just annexed a duchy of mine into her own territory as her soldiers took complete control of the place.

Then i was killed in battle against a crusader lord after being maimed by the head of the Knights Hospitaler.

Most of my army is dead.

I started a new game as Sigurdr Ring and I've been doing SO MUCH RAIDING. I love it so much, I can't stop combing the map for people who have treasuries to try and pillage.

Equality/Enatic means you can forcibly capture men and boys (and their claims) and make them concubines as a woman, or give them to your daughters. It's possibly the biggest buff to raiding ever.

I'm thanful that the Pope wasted thr Christian crusade on Umayyad Milan rather than trying to reclaim Rome from me, the Hellenic Pontifex Maximus.

I just holy warred Germany (Which is germany+francia) for Mecklemburg duchy, bringing pommerania fully into the fold. (It's 850 though, so no crusades yet, and i'm hoping to unite the slavic union before they begin.)

Current king is the first Wendish Emperor and Reformer of the Faith. Pommerania, Poland, Bohemia, Lithuania, Estonia, Ruthenia, Galicia are under my rule with a couple of cultural minorities as counts but mostly Bohemian rulers and no foreign dukes, and no heretics or heathens.
However, to the south, I subjugated Croatia and the King of Croatia controls and has titles for Croatia, Hungary(Avaria), Serbia, and Carpathia. He is Slavic Croatian, and under him are Croatian Slavs, a shitload of Avari Tengris, a smattering of Christians, it's a clusterfuck. Despite religious revokation law, he tolerates these heathens, presumably because they massively outnumber him. It's essentially an Austria-Hungary kind of deal I have with the King of Croatia because I don't want to deal with that shit just yet, at least for now...

South of my realm is a Greek Reformed Slavic Epirus, the only other Slavic realm. It owns Epirus, Bulgaria, and almost all of Greece, and their raiding coupled with the Abbasid invasion of Anatolia has brought Byzantium to the brink of destruction. One day, I will marriage claim them, and if they refuse, I guess i'll have to try raiding them til I get a princess.

The Christians hold on in Germany, the British Isles, and Lombardy, with Muslims encroaching into India, Anatolia, and holding Spain.

To the east in Rus, Vladimir and so on, the Suomensko are ruling, having conquered the Russians I didn't get to first. Now that the west is secured and Pommerania is mine, i'll be holy warring them and occasionally picking off the remaining Bavarian provinces (I own about half).

The Khazars keep collapsing, but the hordes in the east remain strong, there's just loads of them. They're mostly concerned with attacking eachother, raiding, and sometimes subjugating the Suomensko kingdoms which inevitably break free after a generation.

Does anyone know how to trigger the Legend events?
I tried with one king, but he died, and his heir didn't continue it, and now the meter is gone.
