Battlefield 5...Thoughts?

I am appalled (and at the same time, kinda dying from the inside) of people who just hate watching the one non-white male character in a game about THE WORLD WAR so much that they forget that the woman was probably (especially given her equipment) a resistance member in an occupied territory, as opposed to a drafted soldier from The United Kingdom. Still, the graphics looked cool, killing nazis while not having a complete body will make it even more satisfying, and so long as they don't add a Battle Royale mode into the game, I'll be content with this.

Okay, all of those points are actually pretty fair. Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer having the USSR and America there too, but I guess this is the chance to have new factions that haven't been explored before. Who knows, maybe we'll get to play as the Canadians or something.

One female brit, who's probably part of a resistance group (which, normally, wouldn't discriminate). The part I'm not sure about is the prosthetic, to be honest. because prosthetics weren't exactly evolved at that time, so I'm not sure how well that'd end in a war as bad as the Great War (no. 2)

Honestly, it’d be a great change to mainly see the humanity in the German soldiers, not the mindless “hurduh heil kill juden” or mooks/cannon fodder we see in most games.

A great and progressive take would be this: a German protagonist, whom joined the Wehrmacht out of duty, and has to fight against increasingly overwhelming odds and begins to fight more for his family, wife, daughter, etc., than fighting for the Reich.

Whilst Hitler was legitimately popular amongst Germans, I recall, later on in the war a fair bit of that supported faded within the military. Whilst I’d love a very gritty WWII, with gore and all, I also love it to be off-balanced with equal humanisation on all sides, Axis and Allied Powers alike.

The other side in that war didn't get into it because "we need more space to live in and the best space is the space those pesky slavs/etc live in". Even if Hitler wasn't going to explain what was going to happen to the people already in the target areas for lebensraum, they had to have the slightest bit of critical thinking to realize that it probably would involve the guns they were issued. I mean, arguably, you could make a story that humanizes the Nazis through a Nazi soldier's perspective without making it a sympathetic one, or one that even remotely comes close to diminishing their war crimes. It'd take some absolute fucking balls to do it, and you'd need to do it right. (For instance, Clint Eastwood's Letters From Iwo Jima does this incredibly well; you get the human side of the soldiers of Imperial Japan, but there's no real punches pulled when it comes to how utterly fucked up the mentality and culture of Imperial Japan was.)

I don't really care about Battlefield series, as I don't play them (I like Paradox type games more), but... I usually judge things from gameplay, and we will see, if it will be good. At least I hope, that it will not be another game, where community is getting milked by the many DLCs.

And as for German campaign, I think, that it could work well as a mod. However, I don't think, that it should be added in the base game, at least for now.

I think it has potentional but the female prosthetic soldier stuff was a little much for me.

I already thought it was pretty silly when we had the scout class for the germans being a black man(yes I know germany had colonies in Africa, no they were barely mentioned)

I know we aren't going to be able to see the swastika(maybe in single player) so that's retarded(especially when you see a hammer and sickle) but it is what it is.

I still have hope this will be a good game, but SJW stuff does begin to ruin things after a certain point. I also heard you can play as females in multiplayer so....yeah....
