365 MY: The volcano ash cloud continues to reak havoc across the continent. Food riots break out everywhere. King Mark-Francis promises to acquire more food by invading an as yet unnamed neighbour. And thus for the first time in 100 years Maxtopia gears up for war.


Meanwhile Maxtopian soldiers clash with the "beast men" when a settler group walks in Maxtopian territory. Moderia, the closest big city to the Great Mountains, begins calling the levies. Judt in case.

366 MY: The nation turns out to be located in an island off the coast of the Maxbarri continent (the continent where Maxtopia and most other known nations are located). It is named Liliputhia, for it's population of naturally small humans, who are referred as dwarves. Liliputhia, being a nation rich in food, have very fertile soil, and rich in fishes, is a perfect target. It also contained unknown fruits, vegetables, herbs, and animals.

The invasion fleet set sail, and soon, once they arrived, they begin to bombard the coast of Liliputhia with trebuchets in the ship. Soldiers soon landed from the ships and flocked into the island, to conquer it

366 MY- When they arrive, they find no one. The houses are empty, the crops have already been harvested, and there is no food to be found.

[Chan Island]

366 MY (continued): The king declares the invasion a great victory... and then follows up by attacking the Vogel Empire. Maxtopia's ancient allies of Violeta and the Farchasanid Empire are called to join in.

Meanwhile it turns out the Nekojimonia actually settled in the lands of Grunhilde (yup, they're a thing again)... the Grand Duke of Grunhilde reacted as any rational person would do to a bunch beast men/gods settling in his lands: and begins massacring them. A savage war begins.

366 MY (cont’d)-367:
The Vögel Empire responds to the declaration by calling on the defense pact with Blackacre and Pferdreich. Fast attack troops pierce into the invading force, temporarily delaying the invasion while Blackacrean and Pferdreich troops arrive and swiftly set up defense. This will be a brutal, bloody battle.

After hearing that Liliputhia was empty when it was invaded, a small team of treasure hunters sailed a small sloop onto the island to see if they could scavenge anything left behind by the Liliputhians. They were never seen again. In fact, sailors near the abandoned island of Liliputhia often tell stories about their disappearance, with the most prominent one saying that they were eaten by a large sea monster, with slimy green wings, a bulbous head, and a writhing mass of tentacles where a mouth would be on a human.

368 MY: The war between Grunhilde and the Nekojimonia was a bloody one. However, the Nekojimians had the advantage of their cat physiology, as well as the same advantage as the Human, essentially making them stronger than the Grunhilde invaders. They lurked at night to stalk and kill soldiers, while using their claws to slash and kill, and their speed to evade attacks and run away.

The war between Maxtopia and the Vogel Empire was a bloody one as well. The battlefield was littered with swords, shields, spears, and bows from fallen soldiers, as well as their body and the armor they wore. Walls, forts, castles, and sentry towers dominate the sights, as well as hordes of soldiers and siege weapons.

Meanwhile, the treasure hunters invented a new term for the beast that lurked around Liliputhua, Kraken. A warning was soon issued to anyone to avoid the area where the Kraken was spotted. In other news, the treasure hunters also discovered a Liliputhuan hideout in the forest of the island. They told the treasure hunters that when Maxtopia bombarded their island with rocks from their ships, they evacuated to the many hideouts deep in the forest, jungle, and mountain and brought all food with them

369 MY: A nasty turn in the Grunhilde-Nekojimonia war as the Grand Duke explicitly orders the killing of Nekojimonia children, and of sending raiding parties into the Great Mountains to do this. Other nations's leaders start to openly call the Grand Duke mad.

Tens of thousands have been killed in the Maxtopia-Vogel war. Emperor Mark-Francis II is wounded by a humble Pferdreich spearman this year. He loses his left arm below the elbow but otherwise survives with no complications. The missing arm is replaced with a strapped on sword and he returns to battle as a terrifying dual-wielding monstrosity.
In nicer news, his second wife finally gives birth to an heir, princess Amm.

Meanwhile, a leader/prophet rises among the Liliputhians. This mysterious individual claims to have revelations from the almighty that a promised land exists somewhere within the old domains of the Empire of Jenni (by now a distant memory). Thus begins a great trek eastwards.

In the same year Mark-Francis II is wounded, the Vögelmannin Empress is killed in a successful assassination attempt. The Vögelmänner Emperor retaliates by joining the battle with himself at the frontlines. Matthias von Strücker I is wounded grievously by the end of the year, but is considered instrumental at the defeat of the Maxian forces at the Battle of Kelsier (Matthiam 2-18, 369 MY) and the Battle of Halfway (Ameliam 22-26, 369 MY). Matthias I retired from combat, heeding the doctors, and his firstborn son, Matthias II, takes charge in his stead.

A long and peaceful era for Eumeria ensures that they can continue their studies into agriculture, the human body, and basic genetics. Scientists are studying the effects of selective breeding with tomato plants.
Meanwhile, a fringe scientist, with funding from the Kaiser himself, captures fresh human bodies to cut open and map out the human body. Civilians are being told that a dangerous group is kidnapping said people. Research into military technology is rather low, but is highly likely to increase in the next years.

Dozens of photos of mutilated bodies are printed in the press and the public becomes aware of the government lies. Protests composed of thousands take to the street calling for the arrest of those responsible.
