Well, can't say I read much. Out of the titles which I've actually read I cannot find an adequate candidate, sadly

Even though it's already been adapted, I would love a proper adaptation of Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park

I would like to see the "Horus Heresy" books adapted to the big screen. 40k needs to be known

I'd love some of Ian M Banks' books to be adapted. He wrote some incredibly creative sci-fi, imaginative, original and gritty. The hardest part would probably be the special effects for most of it if I'm honest. Tech so far in the future it's barely recognizable.

Id' love to see Use of Weapons adapted, but realistically it's too complex a book. Failing that, The Player of Games and Surface Detail are much more linear and thus easier to screen-ify.

Amazon is apparently developing a TV series based on Consider Phlebas.

I'd love to see The Abhorsen Trilogy, by Garth Nix, adapted to the screen. Although the main series is composed of 5 books total, I'd love to see the first 3 (Sabriel, Lirael and Abhorsen) in a movie.

I would love to see New York the Novel by Edward Rutherford adapted. It would not work as a a film but would make a amazing tv series.
