A journey begins.

My best friend (also a huge SW nerd) and I are attempting to watch all the existing Star Wars movies together before IX comes out (Perhaps excluding the Holiday Special and the Ewok Adventures). But we're starting the process now due to vastly different schedules.

So Monday... I've got a date with a Phantom Menace. Do your worst, Jar-Jar.

Ewok movies never happened... When i got the original Ultimate Visual Guide i was confused when I saw Ewok movies. I'm convinced that we live in a timeline where the Ewok movies didn't exist and then suddenly did having come out decades earlier. I know this because as a kid I would have screamed in joy for "more star wars" I hate it when timelines intersect like that.

Somewhat joking but I swear shit like this is too weird.

Also another joke reference: I'm from the timeline where Mandela didn't die in prison.

I've always wanted to do a release order SW marathon. Me and various members of my family have been talking about doing one for years, but we've never actually gotten around to it. Good luck on yours!

I just jumped into Knights of the Old Republic for the first time in so long that I may as well be playing the game for the first time again. There was an ancient time where I played often enough that I considered myself competent and good at it. Now . . . I remember NOTHING about how to play this game.

I would trust Huskar here. Ashoka really does get a lot better in the later parts of the clone wars. Her last arc was pretty good and she really did become a likable character.

To get to that arc, I'd have to actually watch Clone Wars again. And 1 season of that dreck was enough. I haven't seen an episode in 10 years, and I intend it stay that way.

You totally should revisit clone wars. The first season was admittedly kinda bad so you may want to skip that season. But after that the show got far better.

There's only one Clone Wars cartoon I have the desire to revisit, and that's the one from 2003. The good one.

Oh yes, I remember not understanding how to play. Good times. What I found very useful was using the dueling line of feats and fighting with a one-handed weapon. Or, if you just raise your strength to 10 and buff your dex in character creation, and use blasters until you get a lightsaber, you'll have an easier time in combat. You could also do both, of course. If you are having trouble, it might be best to restart, as Kotor is the sort of game where a bad set up can make the game hellish, especially early on. Oh, and if you have no dignity, like me, use hit and run tactics. You can often get a hit in, then run away from your opponent before they attack you. It doesn't always work, but it can be a lifesaver, especially in fights with enemies like Marl. You should also get either drain life or destroy droid as Force powers at some point, as their very useful for the final boss fight. Finally, remember that Kotor has a level cap of 20, so plan out your distribution of attribute and skill points, feats and Force powers appropriately, and consider what level you want to change class at carefully.

While the treatment of Grievous if that is who your referring to was not exactly great I would not say it is in any way ruins the show. And if your referring to Maul I don´t see how they made a him a ¨bitch.¨

I really don´t see what your talking about with regards to Maul in the clones wars(can´t speak for rebels). He and Savage were slaughtering people left and right in clone wars and that fight scene with Sidious was incredibly badass. If your referring to his personality I still don´t see how he is a ¨bitch.¨ And aside from that I don´t see why dissatisfaction with Maul would ruin a show that has well written interesting mature stories, likeable characters, and kickass fight scenes.

The fight where they get their asses handed to them in under 5 minutes in a 2 v 1, and he ends it whimpering for mercy like a wuss? Yeah, great fight.

But hey, I guess that's better than the LITERAL 3 SECONDS he lasts in this travesty of an exit.

The fact he has a personality at all is the problem. He was fine as that silent badass who took on a Jedi master and apprentice and nearly won. That was Darth Maul. This thing in Clone Wars is a mockery of how cool he used to be.
