Yeah, it was part of the old EU that I though was done well. Very interesting to look at the different styles and how they developed. I was always partial to Soresu and Niman myself.

I'm mad. I want to compare a Game of Thrones character to a Star Wars character, but apparently I can't place spoilers in spoilers and I can't be bothered to work around this shit right now.

So I'll just say that the Rule of Two founder has a twin and be done with it.

While the Darth Bane books are Legends now, I do recall that it worked about as well as you'd think an organization mainly composed of chaotic evil individuals would :p

GOT spoilers.

Daenerys is much like Darth Revan. Benevolent person with great skills and good intentions who suffered enough losses and traumatic events to succumb to the dark side. Becoming even more powerful but also losing their original purpose in life. Revan was stopped by his former friends. Will the same happen with Dany?

Darth Vader is quite like Gregor Clegane. Almost died and only live through unnatural means. Bodyguards of the emperor/queen with unmatched combat skills. Sadist and reclusive. Spent much of his life killing in the name of their lieges.

Rey is like Gendry Baratheon. Parentage unknown. Skillful with amazing potential but low-class for a great deal of their lives. Eventually become something greater.

Kylo Ren is like Stannis Baratheon. They are both dutiful and believe they must capture their rightful position of power. They have amazing skills but you can feel they put them to bad use. Always moving forward, no matter what. Not afraid of taking a risky and radical decision to keep going, even if it means to change their name and turn to literal Satanism. Kinslaying for the sake of progressing towards their goal. Have good intentions deep down but they end up doing horrible things instead.
