I expect something that's a lot of fun, but lacks the lasting emotional punch of the OT and TLJ. There's next to no chance of it being as good as TLJ, but the groundwork TLJ laid will hopefully force Abrams to make something more ambitious than TFA. Not least that he's only got one of his silly mystery boxes left.

But we'll see. Deciding to dislike a film in advance is the height of fandumb.

Solo was a pleasant surprise for me. Far better than i thought it was going to be, not amazing, but decent enough.

Emotional punch? TLJ punched me, but more like a gut punch due to the fact that the series I once loved has left me, and there's no chance it's coming back.

Also, if there's no chance of it being as good as TLJ then may the Force be with us all, because it's gonna be awful.

I think when talking/complaining about the ST as a whole in the future, TLJ and some of the plot points set in motion in TFA will still be the main target of people's anger as the final installment is just the product of what the previous two movies set up. In other words... You'll be waiting for a long time.
