*sigh* They're doing their insane trilogy structure again.

Episode 8:
Wins the prize for most pointless episode ever. An unnecessary prequel showing how someone got the plans for a thing we've already seen, and the only major characters involved forget it happened. It makes Rogue One look like a work of genius.

Episode 9:
A mix of cringe and cool, with nothing more interesting going on. I guess Vos is kinda fun, and the fight was spectacular. At least Ziro's dead now. Let's hope we don't have to see him again.

Why do Hutts only seem to have female dancers? Are these massive slug creatures attracted to humanoid women but not men? And did the camera really need to lovingly follow those dancers for so long?

The only explanation I have is that it's some kind of fan service.

Holy shit. I was beginning to think this day would never come. S3E10 was good. And not good in the sense of "well, at least they're using the characters in a vaguely competent way", but good good.

Several things that ought to have happened on day one finally happened. We met some sympathetic Separatists. People made an actual attempt at peace, and the narrative made this seem like a desirable outcome, rather than just paying lip service to the idea of war being bad. And Ahsoka put a fucking shirt on.

Also, she has two lightsabers now? So I guess she can now fail to take advantage of any of the benefits a second weapon offers, just like Grievous and Ventress.

I love so many things about this episode. I love how the Separatist attack is more like a modern terrorist attack than a WW2-esque military strike. I love that the stakes are "the banks might be deregulated" and this is treated as a terrible thing. I love that there's barely a shot fired and no lightsabers ignited. Oh, and I love that the bad guys win for once. This series has presented the Clone Wars as incredibly one-sided up till now.

I even love that the Separatist Senate is the House of Commons inside and out, and Count Dooku is John Bercow. Even if it is filthy, anti-British propaganda and dead weird that the group fighting for independence is the one with the British aesthetic.

We've arrived. Sure, it took TCW more episodes than many shows run for, but better late than never. Here's hoping it stays that way.

Although Lux can take his damn eyes off Barriss' girl.

Only shocking thing about Barriss was the amount of gay fanart people drew of her and Ashoka.

Nah, they were paired together a lot.

It makes it even weirder that they turned her into space bin Laden and established that she didn’t give two shits about Ahsoka.

To be fair, all romantic fan art involving Jedi is weird since love and attachment of any kind is forbidden according to the Jedi code!

But seriously, the fan art that really just makes me cringe are the Anakin x Ashoka ones......*shivers*

Thing is, Barriss was right about the Jedi Order. Sure, she's definitely can't claim that she's on the moral high ground after the whole incident but that doesn't mean she wasn't wrong about them. Maybe listening to her instead of sucking off Palps and the Senate would've allowed them to survive...

Honestly, I think this is just a testament to how manipulative Sidious truly is. People usually just ridicule the Jedi for their stupidiy and claim Vader is a monster but in the end, my man Sidious is the biggest fish of them all.

Still, I really wish we saw some dialogue between her and Ashoka or even her master Luminara. They kinda just threw her away too

I can only assume all these vague comments refer to Barriss and Ahsoka leaving the Jedi Order so they can be together (neatly explaining Ahsoka's absence in episode III). They certainly can't mean that something horrible happens to her, because that would just be an unacceptable outcome.

Episode 11:
Was dead political. You'd barely have to tweak Padme's speech to turn it into an argument against austerity.

Really, you wait two and a half seasons for a good episode, then two come along at once. The next episode is called Nightsisters, which I'm pretty sure I've heard praised. Is three great episodes in a row too much to hope for?

I think those are her collarbones. The show just has an art style that produces unnaturally blocky and harsh features at times, especially in the earlier seasons.

Some of her concept art shows her shirt was always going to be off the shoulders.

You could be right, but if so, those are some very intensely defined collarbones, forming a very distinct triangle shape above her sternum.
