That scene really reminded me of the tank chase in Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. I dunno why, but it did.

I did as well for me, was probably part of the inspiration honestly as the mando almost hits a rock wall like Indy did when he was climbing up from what i remember.

You would remember right. Yeah, it was too similar to be a coinicidence.

So I just learned that there is an equivalent to the Geneva Conventions in Star Wars. It’s called the Yavin conventions and it was mentioned by Obi Wan in one of lost episodes. So if these Yavin Conventions have similar stipulations as the Geneva conventions then yeah Anakin and Obi Wan are technically war criminals.

I know we already talked about it but for a new thread lets just wait till we hit page 500 or something then make one just to avoid the hassle of a mod locking or merging the other one for being premature. Then whoever is on can throw one up at that time.

I wonder what the Star Wars version of the Hague is. Cause it sounds like it’s going to have some new cases.

Pretty sure the Empire demolished it and put a statue of palpatine on the grounds.

Anybody else losing to Jawas I can believe, but Mandos are fairly hardcore and I think it'd take more than a few Jawas to beat a Mando. Otherwise it's pretty embarrassing.

But it was not a fair fight. The Jawas not only had numbers, but the Sandcrawler which is basically a moving fortress the that Mandalorian had to climb up with his bare hands. Wait, what kind of Mando doesn't have a jet pack?

Care to elaborate on how? I mean Anakin has done plenty of fucky shit so I can see that but Obi-Wan?

He gets one at the end of the first season. But yeah he did not have one then.

He committed perfidy by faking a surrender. Its a war crime and is prohibited by the Geneva Conventions. Which if are similar to these Yavin Conventions then Obi Wan could officially be a war criminals.

So we're still complaining that the new canon doesn't religiously follow Traviss' vision of Mandos as unstoppable badasses and instead gave them an actual culture and nuanced development?

I will agree to this.

Though I firmly expect someone here to break ranks and not abide by this. If the mods allow this to occur, I will very intentionally create a new thread at the exact post on the exact page in the next thread that the person who breaks ranks does on this thread.

The mods will of course state that because of the differing post rate of the threads any attempt by me to create a new thread will be bunk and of course approve anybody else who attempts to do so. At that point, at least I can just give up knowing there's no point.

You say a lot of ignorant shit, Vass, but this is the worst.

Mandos have never been unstoppable. They are stopped--repeatedly--throughout the EU. As a matter of fact, they tend to lose more often than win. Not only that, but they've had a culture and nuanced developmwnt for a long damn time. Long before even Clone Wars; let alone Disney.

This idea that Mandos were all OP Mary Sues until Disney "fixed" them is all in your head.

Is there a particular reason why you seem to be so insistent on getting in the way of something that was literally decided 50+ pages ago? A CONVERSATION THAT HAPPENED SO EARLY BECAUSE I SPECIFICALLY I WANTED TO AVOID THIS PARTICULAR KIND OF BULLSHIT? There is not a discussion. Huskar will be the next OP. It has been decided. Get over it.

Now you're actually pissing me off.

I mean the things they are most famous for are losing wars to the Republic.

Some pretty brutal wars where they kicked ass a lot but they still lost.

Ah yes, because Traviss building an entire language, showing various clans, showing the Mandalorians from a variety of perspectives, showing differences between Mandalorians, Mandos getting killed various times in the EU, literally the entire Mando culture getting built from the ground up, giving them tons of history, and all of that stuff definitely has them as unstoppable badasses without a culture. Of course it’s better to replace the word “clan” with “tribe” (but only in some projects) and give them a “helmets always on rule” (but not in every project) and call that a nuanced culture.

You are actually amusing ( for the first time in your life ) if you think anything that comes out of your mouth holds any merit to me.

I was never present for such discussions and never agreed to such. I don't have a problem with you in particular outside of standing by/remaining silent during certain events in these threads ( can't remember if you actively supported them or not ) but I'd feel more comfortable running it myself or perhaps allowing someone like Vassenor or Idzequitch the chance.

You do realize that being the OP of a thread is pretty meaningless? Like all it means is you can make polls. The thread would function the same regardless of who is the OP.

I don't wish to be overly active on a thread run by such people ( it's why I'm much less active than I used to be ). It's a small show of support in a way and I believe they should be denied such.

My hand has been forced - I must now snipe the OP of this thread in the hours of night, that way nobody will be happy. Like a true compromise.

You know what, you do it i dont mind and i doubt anyone else will. I dont want this drama over a god damn OP of a thread.
