What a mad idea for a lightsaber esque weapon.

They should make it canon to piss people off.

There was and they totally should.

Also important reminder: Pong Krell is a little bitch.

You know I love starfighter focused games like Squadrons but I really want to see a world of warships type Star Wars game made. Like imagine getting to control a Star Destroyer and lay into some Nebulons. That would be so cool.

Closest thing to that is Empire at War.

Which is awesome.

That would be fun. Imagine a Star Wars Warthunder-like game, where there were fighters, ground vehicles, and fleet battles. That would be chaotically awesome.

It definitely would be. Closest we got is probably the Battlefront games which are cool and all but I totally want to see it enhanced in that type of game.

Also apparently there was some shit going around that Pedro Pascal quit the Mandalorian because he did not like the lack of ¨face time.¨ It was clearly nothing more than bullshit but somehow some still bought it lmfao.

The Imperial Reach wrote:So what's the general census on Star Wars: Rebels.

I haven't seen it yet. Saw bits of one episode when my sister visited years ago and brought my nephew. The Imps looked like stooges, which I hate. Dumb villains don't interest me at all. Especially when they're lanky and green or rounder than marshmallows, which two officers seemed to be. Stormtroopers were fools who bumbled around (lame). Not a fan of how thin they made the lightsaber blades. Yes, I know it's a reference to the original lightsabers. Still looks wrong. Not a fan of the animation style, either. Looks like a cheaper version of the Clone Wars animation style. Thrawn in particular looks goofy and I don't like how they retconned the Chiss eyes from being entirely red to having the iris, pupil, and sclera being distinguishable. The former made them look more alien, IMO. Though I don't think Rebels started that.

Regardless, I have heard about some good scenes and saw some good clips in gifs of interesting scenes but it's really hard for me to look past the cheap-looking animation. Imp officers with their hats covering their eyes, noses 3x bigger than thumbs, yeesh. The depiction of Noghri, Geonosians, and a few other aliens look like crap. None of the Rebel characters seemed all that interesting to me, either. I do want to give the show a shot though but I get the feeling it'll be too childish. Kinda like how some episodes of Clone Wars were, but more like an over-arching theme of kiddy stuff.

So is it any good? Is it generally accepted as any good? I rarely hear anybody talk about the show in general in any light; positive or negative.

I tried to get into it when it first aired but wasnt a fan, mainly of the art style and the more children oriented format the show went for. But i gave it another go when the... third season? I think it was, was about to air and i found it to be enjoyable enough that i stuck with it all the way to the end. And i think it definitely improves a lot after the first season and has some really cool moments and interesting storylines (the stuff with Ahsoka, Maul, Thrawn in particular)

Be warned it is definitely a kids show though (Well more so compared to Clone wars) so the villains can be really fucking stupid at times and the lead Ezra can be annoying, but i found the other main characters, particularly Hera and Kanan really picked it up and were very likeable and engaging almost all the time in comparison.

I would say give it a watch anyway and who knows it might win you over. It definitely gets better in season 3-4, 1 is okay, 2 is decent enough imo.
I liked it as well.

They are making a lego star wars christmas special.

Billie Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels and Kelly Marie Tran are reprising their roles for it.

Lucas never liked the idea of Sith living on in death like Jedi do (even though it happens a lot in the EU). It's why Bane and Revan didn't make their scheduled appearance in the Ghosts of Mortis arc of Clone Wars. Personally, I think that's a bit unfair. They may be evil bastards but Sith ghosts haunting Sith tombs on Korriban, Yavin 4, Dromund Kaas, etc. are cool as fuck and make them extra spooky.

Also if we're going to retcon anything, can we retcon the Sequel Trilogy? I really wish I could forget it existed.

Just do some exact words - seems that Jedi certainly have a lot more freedom in their afterlife (particularly where they can be), while based on what you're saying Sith tend to end more as ghosts haunting things (which seems like a pretty crappy afterlife to me).

Something I don't understand:

Orange lightsabers are supposed to represent pacifism, yet orange is a common color for Sith in The Old Republic. Pacifist Sith seems like an oxymoron and I can't figure out why they have orange lightsabers if that's the case.
