Will have to check. Imo, that's a very shady business practice. Especially when they portray themselves as having come up with it by themselves.

It happens all the time, ive seen a lot of gaming sites do it quite a lot where its almost word for word whenever something leaks or something is revealed and they just copy and paste it from the original article and shuffle some stuff.

The worst is when every pop culture news outlet imaginable just reports Mark Hamill's behind the scenes tweets verbatim with practically no value added.

When I saw Darth Maul in the thumbnail for the new Corridor Crew video, I thought they were gonna be discussing actual stunts from the movie. Not mo-cap work for the stupid Clone Wars cartoon.

That's not a stunt.

How is it not a stunt? If they’re doing motion capture, doesn’t that mean that there’s actually somebody doing the stunt? Correct me if I’m wrong about this, I’m not a filmmaker.

No your totally right. They actually got Ray Park back to help with the motion capture. Ashoka was done by Lauren Mary Kim (who I believed did stunts for the armorer in the Mandalorian aka the awesome hammer fight.)

So Ameriganastan’s post was inaccurate, because there actually was somebody doing the stunts? And not just anybody, Ray Park?

Sounds like he just doesn’t like the Clone Wars, which we all already know.

And some absolutely fantastic stuntwork at that. Ray Park and Mary Kim fucking killed it.

Fair enough. That was some amazing stunt work in those last few episodes though. Those episodes had higher visual quality and better stunts than the new Star Wars movies.

The animation really was amazing. I believe they were given a higher budget for the Mandalore arc hence why it looked so amazing.

Calling mo-cap work for a cartoon stuntwork is frankly an insult if you ask me.

Andsed wrote:And some absolutely fantastic stuntwork at that. Ray Park and Mary Kim fucking killed it.

Oh yeah, they really killed it with an anemic fight that barely lasts a minute. I've seen that fight on YouTube. Maul getting it handed to him in 3 seconds had more life to it.

Well frankly I think your devaluing of all the hard work that goes into motion capture is the far greater insult.

And what you call a lack of life is simply the fact that is has real weight to. Unlike most animated duels(which are just as good but in a different way) which have a certain weightless feel to them, this due to the excellent motion capture had a weighty feeling to it which imo made it feel like an actual fight.

Anyone have a favorite version of the Imperial March? I personally like the Republic version of the Imperial March that was played at the end of Attack of The Clones.

Can’t argue with that. That version was pretty good. As it is, I also can’t argue with the original Imperial March.

On a different note, there's this guy on YouTube taking fight scenes from Rebels and making the lightsabers properly thick looking.

It actually makes them borderline entertaining. I'm enjoying it while I can, cause I know the copyright guys will be on him eventually.

So I guess actors who do stunts as CGI characters in other movies and TV shows isn't real stuntwork?

Okay, so you don’t like the show. They are still doing the stunts and physically doing the fight, therefore it is stuntwork. Don’t be blinded by your hatred. That is a path to the Dark Side.
