Agreed, particularly given that Savage, despite his size and strength, is a sloppy duelist. Additionally, even assuming that Gallia was a poor match for Opress, by this point in the show I am pretty sure the Jedi knew of Savage, Maul, and their abilities, so why would the Council send her if her abilities were not considerable?

In any case, I think they should have had her put up a bit more of a fight.

Though, TCW always seemed to have a few strange power imbalances, like Eeth Koth defeating Grievous.

I will never forgive TCW for letting Grievous be defeated by fucking Gungans smh

TBH I did not really mind that. Despite the reputation created by Jar Jar the Gungans are a warrior people. Not to mention they were armed with EMP weapons that are pretty effective at taking down droids and such.

Unrelated, but I recently got back into Darths & Droids, a web comic that reimagines Star Wars as a D&D campaign. I seem to recall stopping my initial look at the series towards the end of V, so hopefully I get further this time. Currently at the end of III, so far so good. Worth a look I'd say, if you're a fan of Star Wars and D&D. Will say, not as good as DM of the Rings though.

How much do you want to bet that there will be an episode in High Republic where Mandalorians infiltrate the Jedi Temple in order to steal the darksaber? I mean so far every show (barring Resistance afaik) has had the darksaber appear in it.

I am pretty sure the High Republic is only going to be books and comics, not any kind of TV show.

Even if there isn't a show, that seems quite likely that it willmake an appearence.

I think I’d be more surprised if it didn’t show up than if it did.

Hell, Disney barely noticed it existed. I watch that channel a lot and nary recall a single ad for it.

Rogue One was by far the best thing Disney did with the franchise. The Battle of Scariff was excellently done, and I wish we saw more up close, nitty gritty battles in modern Star Wars.

One small thing i really liked about Rogue one was the use of footage from the original trilogy for the various pilots in the rebel fleet that would fight at Scariff. Seeing cut female pilots from ROTJ and members of Red Squadron was cool as i thought they did a great job with the effects to make it look like modern footage.

I love the arrival of the Rebel fleet at Scarif. No sci-fi does exiting hyperspace like Star Wars does.
Especially Raddis's ship just fwooming in there.

I do like how ships just appear in SW, nothing flashy just a sudden out of no where appearance.

But ive always been a huge fan of hyperspace/jumping/whatever where it results in a violent tear in space, like something out of Warhammer 40k
