Dont know, but they mentioned a purge on Mandalore so im assuming the Mandalorian clans were on the receiving end of a war and have been scattered or destroyed.

The show mentioned a Mandalorian purge of some kind. Seeing that whole Mandalorian civil war we saw in Rebels what Im guessing happened is that the Mandalorians either joined the Rebel Alliance, or launched their own separate rebellion against the Empire. And then got invaded and occupied by the Empire, who´s response to this type of things is seemingly always heavy handed massacres and genocide proceeded to do just that and in the process the Darksaber was stolen.

Dont underestimate people. Even little smoll people who wear hoods, especially when they are armed with guns capable of short circuiting robots.

That scene really reminded me of the tank chase in Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. I dunno why, but it did.
