This guy has been raised to be a Jedi. When the Jedi use the Force, they respect it and don't overuse it. The bad guys - the Sith - keep testing their limits. Vader discovered this person who had the potential to be the most powerful Force user ever. He's up there with the top tier. He's extremely powerful. Vader has trained him in such a way that he just kept pushing his limitations, seeing how far he could use the Force. So, where a normal Jedi might use the Force to trick his way past a few stormtroopers, the apprentice might use the Force to bring down an adjacent building on top of those stormtroopers. He's extremely confident in everything he does. He's been trained by Vader to be an assassin, an unstoppable force." - Insider 100.

Fair enough I guess. It still really hampers the idea of Vader being an unstoppable monster in my mind though. I much prefer his appearance in Fallen Order than TFU.

I get what you mean, but I think TFU still does a pretty good job of making their version of Vader menacing. Especially in the sequel.

A lot of that's down to the voice acting done by Matt Sloan who also coincidentally was the voice of Chad Vader: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SXuVP6mtIk

You know what I want to see in a movie or show? The lightsaber form of Tràkata being used because damm is that an interesting one. It is basically centered around the idea of using a lightsabers ability to turn off and on. The only time we see something like that being used is in Fallen Order by Cal and I just want more.

You know I cannot believe I'm saying this but: The new trilogy has made me hate Anakin's/Luke's Lightsaber. I've always disliked how it was more prominent than Luke's actual saber in advertisement and in toys but after seeing 3 movies worth of nonsense involving that lightsaber i legitimately groan when seeing it.

It’s kind of funny how the sequels treat it like an important, almost mystical weapon.

I think that is part of the lightsaber’s significance. Anakin used it to destabilize the force and tilt everything towards darkness, then Luke used it to confront his father. Anakin also initially used it to bolster the Jedi cause. It represents the light and dark, having been used as to champion the cause of the Jedi and to bring the Sith back into power. Ray used it as a median figure between light and dark. She wasn’t a Jedi in the traditional sense and she wasn’t a Sith. She was more neutral in regards to her force alignment. That weapon is one of the most prominent symbols of balance in the saga. That’s how I see it at least.

TBH, that can be applied to most of the old EU, because inventing new ridiculous force powers and superweapons was a crutch for many, many, many of the writers.

Yeah that is fair. As much as I enjoy the EU (and prefer its post OT content over the ST) it was so bloated with over the top shit. Making it non cannon was a good idea. I just wish they either took some ideas from it or made original ones instead of basically doing the OT but flashier and messier.

I really can’t argue with this. When you think of some of the things that happened in legends (Yuuzhan Vong invasion, Abeloth, half of the old republic era), its really hard to reconcile that with what we saw in the movies. I fully agree that they really should have taken more elements of the EU rather than a nostalgia trilogy without continuity though.

Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. The above post contains hyperbole, metaphoric language, embellishment and exaggeration. It may also include badly translated figures of speech and misused idioms. Analyze accordingly.

Always thought that was odd; Naboo must have had a fucked up system of government if you are electing a 14 year old girl to be your Queen. Even if Veruna was that bad, was a child the next best choice?
