Just a CG trailer, no gameplay, only Empire vs Rebels that I could see. Appears to be 5v5 dogfight game.

I wonder how similar it’ll be to the old X-Wing games?

Either way it could definitely be interesting, I hope there’ll be a single player/story mode.

I saw somewhere that allegedly there will be a single player campaign, but the focus will be multiplayer. So I expect it'll be similar to BF2.

I think my favorite is probably the Rey/Kylo fight on the Death Star wreckage in TRoS, with a close next on the throne room scene in TLJ.

Disney is going to be showing The Empire Strikes Back in 4k in UK theaters when they reopen. I think it would be awesome to see the originals in 4k in a theater, although I'd much prefer if they showed the pre-special edition cuts.

(to answer the poll)

The Darth Maul/Qui-Gon Jinn/Obi-Wan Kenobi duel but also all of the duels and fights in SWTOR but also the forest fight w/ Kylo and Rey Palpatine was great.

I answered the Maul duels in the poll, though I just like the first duel and pretty-much all of Darth Maul and Savage Oppress's fights in the Clone Wars. Maul took a consistent L to Obi-Wan/Ben in every single duel after. I count the first duel as a W for Maul although he got rekt by Young Kenobi at the end.

I think the revamped duel on the Deathstar is by far my favorite: Star Wars SC38 Remastered from FixItInPost.

I know it's not technically what's up there, but that fan edit really makes that fight seem right. Can't wait to see them fix other duels in like fashions.

I'm hoping and praying he takes a crack at the Sidious "duel" from Episode III.

That edit is really well done. Far more accurate to the ability´s of a Jedi and Sith in my opinion.

So we got some gameplay footage for Star Wars squadrons:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCcfJ9uEwvs I am kinda sad it is only 5 vs 5 and I hope they add in a mode with an larger player count and maybe some content from other eras. But aside from that the game looks good I have heard there is not going to be micro-transactions which is even better.

Hopefully the no micro-transactions claim is true.

The gameplay footage definitely looks like a lot of fun!

From everything I have seen it does seem like there will be no BF2 fiasco. Which is a relief.

And yeah the gameplay looks stellar. With the different ship types and components you can add the game look likes it has a good amount of depth to it. And I love the first person aspect and lack of hud, really feels immersive(which I would imagine will be even crazier in VR which this game has full support for.) And with the movement system it looks like you can pull off some really complex things(like drifting or pulling a complete 180.) Looks really good.

If this game doesn’t support Quest I will go insane. It looks amazing and I would love to experience it in VR.

Playing that in VR would be an amazing experience, I may invest in the hardware just for this.

The system requirements seem kinda weird. It's very RAM heavy but is fine with some reasonably dated CPUs and graphics cards.

There won’t be any microtransactions.
Instead, we’ll get macrotransactions, where they make y’buy the story mode separately.

I’m much more partial to content DLC than I am to micro-transactions, when the DLC expand on a completed game. This kind of thing, where you buy the game and only get half of it drives me nuts.

Hah!

You think EA would learn their lesson from Battlefront II? No no no, Fallen Order was just damage control, they'd do the same thing that got them in this massive mess with Disney and the public just as soon as people slightly forgive them.

Seeing as we have gottten no indication that this is the case(with the gameplay trailer outright stating that the only way to unlock things is by playing the game) I am willing to give EA the benefit of the doubt.
