Useless imo.
Battlefield support for the win.

The AI will make magic guns appear out of nowhere if it runs out, though not above a certain rate, and not to encircled units.

Strat bombing can force the AI to get to that "Magic guns" moment quicker (It's worth forcing it, since the rate it magically summons guns isn't tooooo bad, just an advantage over the player), but it's not as good as just killing the people holding the guns, imo, since you have to do that anyway.

It might be worthwhile for a defensive nation to strat bomb, not an offensive, wouldn't know.

If offensive, battlefield support.
If defensive, strat bomb.
If middle, tac.

Superior firepower/mobile warfare absolutely wrecks shit with battlefield support imo.
