My 50% warscore in that screenshot says you can't. It was a slog to get there, but only because the Ottoman alliance with Blobhemia made me fight on two fronts.

I'm talking aout player-controlled Ottomans

Due to the new China Dev Diary I've changed the poll to allow changing of votes.
Still hoping for Chinese Empire option.

Fascist china (or the closest thing to it) hasn't been confirmed yet. But I think it will be.

Nationalist China seems to be the democratic choice if the Focus Tree is anything to go by,

I'm hoping there will be a fascist China option, that would certainly be fun imo.

Without doubt though the first nation I'm gonna play when I actually get HoI4 is 1945 Germany, victory or death and all that :p

Go 1936 Germany and fix Hitlers dumb mistakes like allowing the phoney war to happen. Or play diplo hitler and give Poland Slovakia in exchange for Danzig, then bunker down and sit shit out until the allies and communists go apeshit at eachother. (Usually fun. Especially if diplo hitler spends lots of political power on lobbying the US, they subsequently flip all the americas to it.)

Provoke civil wars, send volunteers, check in on the USSR/Allies war, and hey presto, your manpower deficiency isnt so bad anymore :p

Or ignore Vanilla and play Kaiserreich.

There is an out of control trolley speeding towards Jeremy Bentham, who is tied to the track. You can pull the lever to cause the trolley to switch tracks, but on the other track is Immanuel Kant. Bentham is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Critique of Pure Reason. Kant is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Principles of Moral Legislation. Both men are shouting at you that they have recently started to reconsider their ethical stances.

Endsieg is a quite excellent looking mod that let's you play the later start dates, which are my favorite personally.

Without doubt I'm gonna play a shit ton of KR, but the later start dates have always been the best imo when it comes to WW2. Some of my best memories from Darkest Hour are things likes managing to stalemate the war as Germany starting during the Battle of the Bulge, unifying Italy as the Social Republic in the D-Day start, winning the war as Japan in 45 etc etc

Don't worry, it will come around again.
Then the newest DLC's will likely be on sale to.

By that time they'll have released another seven major expansions, all of which are about haberdashery or something.

The Haberdashery DLC,
The One That Fixes What The Haberdashery DLC Broke DLC,
The Haberdashery Content Pack (adding a whopping FOUR events! One of which only happens to Bogomilist Danish cultured Merchant Republics for some reason) DLC,
The Haberdasherian Portrait Pack DLC,
The Songs of Haberdashery feat. Sabaton DLC,
The Haberdashery Unit Pack DLC,
The Haberdashery II: Hatmaking Boogaloo DLC,

The only thing I'm interested is Cradle of Civilisation, and it's not on sale because it's new.

Also hyped as heck for Waking the Tiger. It's the only HoI4 DLC I'll buy, as I barely play the base game, speaking of which, do you guys recommend any HoI4 DLC or is it okay just to leave them alone?

I started playing Portugal in Victoria II- I'm actually doing fairly well. I've been focusing on trying to bridge the land gap between the western and eastern African colonies but I'm starting to think that I should have focused on the coast line.

I gained a Causi Belli against Texas (it went bankrupt and couldn't pay the loan we gave it), but didn't realize I had a navy till Texas was annexed by the US at which point I found myself thinking 'I could of had Portuguese North America'.

I also accepted an Alliance with the Zulu, only to then facepalm after remembering the great Zulu War- which when it happened I declined the call to aid the Zulu as- well- I don't want to face against the British- I just wanted some natives to fight for the colonies if they where threatened.

I've been making small 'short sighted' errors like those.

I've been building relations with Spain and Brazil, trying to avoid Spain going to war with Portugal in the name of Iberian Unification.

Worst CKII run ever:

>be Byzantine Emperor
>first wife dies in childbirth
>marry German princess
>have to get surgery
>awake
>become lunatic from the experience
>somehow still get the epithet "the wise"
>have 7 children with German princess
>first daughter dies of cancer, a later son dies of dysentery
>because emperor is a lunatic, everyone hates him
>but fear keeps them in line, fear of his high stats and large amounts of marriage alliances through his children
>Emperor dies after 35 year reign
>his son is bloodlessly deposed less than a year later
Also, wife murdered someone, never could figure out who
