Apparently Khonsu imprinted on one of Teacher's lot, we have no idea who got Tohu or Bohu (or if either of them even showed up to the fight), Leviathan imprinted on someone from the PRT before he died and the Simurgh... Well, from the looks of things in the later chapters, the Simurgh imprinted on Tattletale, so she might have the Simurgh as her ace in the hole if I'm right about all this. Teacher's got Khonsu for sure, so we can look forwards to that at some point for sure.

wot?

I'm unclear on where you're getting this from.

I wouldn't mind it, since it sounds like a neat plot, but I'm nevertheless unclear on where you're getting it from.

This being said, we need more Simurgh-cultist Tattletales.

It's a pity that the Fallen are basically just run of the mill rednecks who have a thing for Endbringers. Proper cultists going all the way would be more interesting (and a better fit for Tattletale).

Arc 28.4 and .5 of Worm; Doctor Mother mentions Teacher is renting out Khonsu's 'services' with a squad of his minions since Khonsu imprinted on them. It stands to reason that the same imprinting happened with Leviathan and the Simurgh on different people or groups. We don't know who exactly they imprinted on, or if they imprinted on groups rather than individuals, but it stands to reason that the Simurgh imprinted either on the entirety of the group on the Dragonfly or Tattletale, given how she was the most active in communicating with her.

In the final Epilogue the Simurgh is also explicitly mentioned as being the only Endbringer that's not dormant, so we know she's still active. Khonsu and Tohu/Bohu might have re-activated by now, they might not have. It's mostly conjecture, but it's vaguely plausible conjecture. Probably won't happen, but coming up with mildly crackpot ideas that sound cool is what I do.

Ahhh... questionable, with Eidolon ded, but I do see where you're coming from. Kind of misinterpreted the 'Imprinted' part you mentioned, too. With the clarification, well, I don't think it'll happen, I do think it'd be neat if it did, and I get your point.

Yeah. If it does happen, I expect it to be later on, probably after the Fallen vs 'Kill Rain' Coalition battle, or when Team Therapy turns to hunting down Tattletale. Maybe Arc 8 to mirror the Leviathan attack back in Worm.

5d.

Erin-Rain.

:(

(Still shipping them.)

I don't think i'd have the strength to do it. My lovers have always been my weakness in terms of them asking me to do bad things and me just going "Okey doke."

Pretty sure I'd have caved in and turned Fallen for real. house on the outskirts. The problem would be the endless doubt she meant it. It would taint the whole thing and probably make me hate the Fallen.

Still suffering from the chapter about an hour later.
Fuck. MISERY!!!!

Also, Rains powers/trigger.
"Oh no, the fallen abandoned me. Well I'll just make my own fallen! I'll break things and people myself, make everyone feel shitty and guilty, and I can give MYSELF handjobs." :p

...
EDIT:
STILL HARROWING.
Fuck, I've never been this butthurt about shipping.

Welp, battle is joined. Fallen vs Tattletale and company vs Victoria and assorted allies. Place your bets now people.

Also a few more old faces reappearing with Vista and Narwhal, which is always nice. Never really got to see either of them in action back in Worm.

The woman’s voice carried forward, but it was an inarticulate sound, one that became higher, then a warbling shriek, followed by a gasp for air with a sound of its own.

She dropped to the ground, fingers clawing in dirt, twisting like she was trying to get away from everything at once. The noises she made were horrible, and I’d heard some awful noises in my life.

Mama Mathers really is just fucking awful.
That left us the responsibility of giving them an appropriate response.

5.7 time it's 5.7 time.

WAR?!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKkRS4rL6Pw

I waited in line like everyone else, encouraging the woman in front of me to stay in line when she offered to let me cut ahead. It could have been fear, respect, or help. Free coffee for the cop or feeling the pressure of a parahuman standing behind her.

Lol. Idk what i'd do.
Try and act normal i guess.

The woman in front of me finished collecting her order. Two boxes of donuts and other assorted breakfast desserts, stacked on top of one another and tied with twine, and one thing of coffees, plastic with four cup-holders and a handle in the middle.

It's too relateable. #Greggs

“Want a photo?” I asked him.

Victoria is great. Her posing is even greater.

“Wood. Someone had to be the first to build a giant cow, I guess,” I said.

*nods*

He maneuvered the donut Kenzie was holding into her mouth.

“-amfohn oher beguh,” Kenzie said, around the donut.

“Don’t talk while you eat,” Chris said. “You’ll choke.”

Kenzie nodded.

“Let’s focus on the mission,” Chris said.

Lol. I'm reminded of pones shoving things into eachothers mouths.

One of the dogs, the one Bitch rode, was different from the others, symmetrical, leaner.

BASTARD?!?!?!
Or new wolf pup =/

They’d decimated most of a box of twelve donuts between them.

So... they had 1.2 donuts?
*triggered*

“Anything I can do?” I asked.

“Do?”

“To help you be less nervous. To make this easier.”

*Porn music*

“Great to see you,” I said. “It seems a lot of other Brockton Bay names are appearing.”

“Tattletale. Rachel. Foil. The other Undersiders.”

“Yeah,” I said.

I'm sad now.
Don't fight!
(Not for keeps at least.)

Gunfire. From both sides.

Ere we go!

Black, feathered, and wholly unintuitive in construction. He had four legs like a crow’s talons, but large and spindly, and his body wrapped in on itself, with thick scale-like plates like the talons that extended around his ‘face’ and front. The actual features weren’t birdlike, but were nestled in the ‘conch’ of his physical form. If he’d been a banana, the eyes, mouth, and useful features would have been on the inside curve, the outside curve facing forward. But he was more of a tight spiral than a banana, confused by the crests and flares of large, glossy black feathers that filled the gaps.

What the fuck is Wildbow's brain.

Valefor's mind whammy is no match for THREE-LEGGED SPIRAL BIRD CHRIS!
“You wanna piece of me!?” Sidepiece screamed out the words. She put too much pitch in the higher sounds, and managed to get some vocal fry in the mix.

“You’ve got to stop saying that,” Disjoint said.

Disjoint saying what we're all thinking.
Darkness, shadow, distorted space and visual static ripped through armor, flesh, and armor again, tearing a hole clean through him. The hole caved in on itself, metal creaking as it bent, blood fountaining out and splashing up on half the people nearby.

“You stop,” she said.

“Valefor,” I said, just loud enough for the others, Damsel included, to hear. “Hypnotist Master. I wrote about him in the document. Don’t look him in the eyes.”

*screams internally*

“Don’t run!” Valefor called out, at the top of his lungs.

My stride halted, and I swayed a bit before finding my footing. Introspection Chris had been quicker to stop, and I bumped into him in the midst of my retreat.

“Don’t go anywhere!” he cried out. His arms were out above his head, as if he shouted it to the heavens.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

“You’re going to help us. Tell me you understand.”

“I understand,” I said, the words escaping my lips, barely audible.

“You’re going to help us. You’re going to serve us. Tell me you’re going to serve us.”

“I’m going to serve you,” I said.

UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK

It worked on someone if they thought they were being referred to. There were mental tricks I imagined someone could do. It seemed like a noose that could be slipped, especially when he referred to people in the general. I just wasn’t sure I could do it.

Nice.

Old PRT case numbers, a mantra I’d started to go over once when I’d needed to break a loop of thinking, which had inadvertently become something that calmed me down.

"Case 0. Zion.
Case 1. Siberian.
Case 53. Human experimentation against their will.
Case whatever the twin thing is. Losing control over your body.

Soothing."

Oh holy shit that's literally what she's doing. Why the fuck would this calm you down?

The first cases had inspired things, major functions and interests. Committees had been formed and those committees had become something. Even though a whole chunk of the early ones were minor or fabrications in the end, the virus theory included, they’d led to things like a dedicated parahuman science department.

Ordered, interesting, familiar. It was calming, even if I didn’t want to be calm.

Okay fair enough, that is pretty soothing.

“Cease,” Valefor said. “Let’s distract you. Kill your friends.”

Damsel wheeled around, turning toward Nailbiter and Sidepiece. Then she hesitated, looking up at me.

Oh my god. This is adorifying.

“Fuck,” Sidepiece said. She ran her fingers back through the sides of her hair, and there was enough residual fat and blood on them from her using her power that her hair stuck where it was pushed. “He hadn’t paid me yet.”

Sidepiece is great/disgusting.
“And being a weird spiral bird helps with camouflage how?” Capricorn asked.

“I’m desperately trying to ride an excited high here, because the alternative is slipping into Introspection or dealing with the fact some power is trying to drive me nuts. Work with me.”

“Holes. Flesh with holes in it like it’s rotting, but round, fleshy, and damp, ground with pockmarks, walls with more holes, and-” his voice became slightly higher pitched as the intensity of them ratcheted up, “Things are looking at me or wriggling on the other side of the holes. It’s not the coolest! I’m trying not to think about it!”

Bad trip! Bad trip!
I pushed out with my aura, and it failed. Like a car failing to start, it sputtered and died out. On my second try, it did work, but it felt weak.
