Woo, more Rain interlude.

“Memories don’t track her,” Victoria said. “She was relatively new when I left Brockton Bay. Cameras record her better than the eye does, but the footage degrades over time.”

Haha, fuck yeah Imp.
very Bender in Breakfast Club, except you’re way more attractive than Nick Cage.

Earth Bet's Breakfast Club had Nicholas Cage instead of Judd Nelson?

The Endbringers were right, destroy it all.

I do believe that makes Rain the character with the most interludes.

Also Rain's Trigger is... Mildly screwed up, to say the least, although it seems Seir was setting him up to fail; either he doesn't open the door, and he gets to yell at Rain as in canon, or Rain does open the door and Seir gets to accuse him of screwing up by letting their victims out.

I am beginning to suspect that Seir might be a bad man.

I mean, even by Fallen standards, Seir seems to be among the worst of a bad lot.

Also still holding to my 'Rain is the Trump, not the Blaster' theory.

I'm just waiting for Team Fuck The Fallen to attack...

... and then Mama Mathers pulls a Simurgh out of her purse.

What? She was bored, and there were people who liked her.

Par for the course really, although that makes me wonder what actually happened to the Endbringers after Gold Morning. Leviathan died fighting Scion (I think, I'll need to double-check), but that still leaves the Simurgh, Tohu/Bohu and Khonsu all unaccounted for and probably the closest thing to WMDs out there.

I think someone, Sveta possibly, said in Ward that the Endbringers are dormant. So I guess they're just chilling somewhere.

Yup, he's dead as of 30.6, but I think Khonsu and the Simurgh both survive and we don't see anything from Tohu/Bohu, so they're probably still active too.

Checked some more, uh, well, there's... Implications.

Apparently Khonsu imprinted on one of Teacher's lot, we have no idea who got Tohu or Bohu (or if either of them even showed up to the fight), Leviathan imprinted on someone from the PRT before he died and the Simurgh... Well, from the looks of things in the later chapters, the Simurgh imprinted on Tattletale, so she might have the Simurgh as her ace in the hole if I'm right about all this. Teacher's got Khonsu for sure, so we can look forwards to that at some point for sure.

ISTR one of the ?ohu twins bought it, too. The Eidolon knockoff maybe? I can never remember which of them is which. They were the lamest Endbringers anyway.

Poor Aisha. She's going to show up in front of Valefor and them being all badass and go, "Hi, remember me?" And they're all going to go, "Uh, no, should we?" And she's going to be, "You remember? When Skitter filled your eyeballs with maggots? I was there! I'm the one who took you down!" And Valefor's going to go, "Uh, I definitely remember the maggots, but you don't ring a bell. Did you maybe have a different costume?" And then all the Fallen will be dead, and everyone else will be looking at each other going, "What just happened? I dunno, I was fighting this guy, and then he fell over. Looks like his throat's cut."

That... Would be pretty bad. Either that or the Fallen, with their Crowley-shaped reinforcements + Team Therapy's antics (they've apparently got someone inside Tattletale's 'Kill Rain' coalition who's going to wreak some havoc to help them out) + Team Therapy + Wardens and whatever else can be scraped together proceed to hand Tattletale's 'Kill Rain' coalition their arses on a silver platter in Arc 6 and the Arc ends with Tattletale being forced to bring in the Simurgh to save herself and the remaining Undersiders.

Also Simurgh vs Khonsu fight when?

Now I want to see how Imp and Mama Mathers' powers interact. Imp does whatever causes her to appear and Mama Mathers is just standing there confused wondering who summoned her.

I'm writing a fanfic.

It's full of politics and worm. I'm trying to strike a balance between human moments and monstrous ones, and I think I may have gone too far in a few places. It's perfect. Any takers for a quick i'm-scared-to-post-to-sb just yet read through?

There is an out of control trolley speeding towards Jeremy Bentham, who is tied to the track. You can pull the lever to cause the trolley to switch tracks, but on the other track is Immanuel Kant. Bentham is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Critique of Pure Reason. Kant is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Principles of Moral Legislation. Both men are shouting at you that they have recently started to reconsider their ethical stances.

But it's not starring Taylor, so i'll write another one that does later.
Just the one though.

That's not really how she works.
It's more like, Dodge gets subjected to a bunch of really horrifying bullshit that makes everyone stand and stare in horror while the people who need to get out of dodge get super paranoid that the simurgh is leering at them and decide to run away while everyone is distracted.

wot?

I'm unclear on where you're getting this from.

I wouldn't mind it, since it sounds like a neat plot, but I'm nevertheless unclear on where you're getting it from.

This being said, we need more Simurgh-cultist Tattletales.

It's a pity that the Fallen are basically just run of the mill rednecks who have a thing for Endbringers. Proper cultists going all the way would be more interesting (and a better fit for Tattletale).
