A tall and cartoonish Android created by Isalov Industries (from Earth of another dimension in origin), as well as being the second most powerful entity in Valentine Z, Surveillant Clarissa leads Alanis Star after Valentijn entrusted her with much power and authority. Her personality, for most of the time, is described as cheerful, playful and loving, though a little bit on the childish at times. Additionally, she is known to be both erratic and eccentric, with an aforementioned cheerfulness to build. Due to her loving experience as a children’s mascot for most of her life in the parallel Earth, Clarissa states that she prefers to listen mostly to children’s nursery rhymes, as this brings her back to the carefree life that she used to have. Her country of origin is Burma, even though her last name seems to suggest that she might be Japanese or even French in nature; the latter seems to be much more pronounced, with Clarissa conversing and defaulting to French for the most parts. Clarissa is also an epitome of a robot who has perfected the harmony and synchronization between her human mind and the android body that the mind is put in, being able to utilise them and boost her human-mind capacity at 100% efficiency.
She was retrieved from Valentine Z’s Singapore in 24th of January, [DATA MISSING], whereby she was found motionless and without power at the middle of City Hall MRT station. She was then sent to General Valentijn and his company for further investigation, dragging the large robot across the roads of Singapore, to Burma. Bearing a model number N–2904/0, and after reading the instructions that came along with her, it was known that Clarissa is the prototype of the experiment that the Isalov company was doing at the time – to create an android with human intelligence in mind, or for a computer to replicate the sentience of a human. As far as the results show, it was determined that the project was successful as she was able to convey a wide range of emotions and basically act like a human would. Instructions show that she is also fitted with an arsenal of weapons for "self-defense", along with damage output exceeding 77.777.777 Newtons when going into a fistfight. Additionally, the instructions boast about Clarissa having an extremely extensive knowledge on just about every field and subject, and given the specs, Head Secretary Jamie and the rest at that time concluded that given the vast databank that Clarissa has, she might have the entire internet of her world of origin in her head. The instructions further states that Clarissa has a weakness and a distain for EMP-based weapons, and would loudly protest at the idea of having one near her.
When she was powered on, she quickly grabbed the neck of the nearest person at that moment - Valentijn himself; the self-defence mechanism quickly came into life, and while she did not intend to kill anyone, she was trying to stop Valentijn from hurting her, though the latter did not have such intentions. Valentijn, despite being strangled, tried his best to coax Clarissa, while his best friend, Foresittend Marcus, tried to get Valentijn out of Clarissa’s hands and placing a forward shield. He would also try to negotiate with the robot in order to let Valentijn go. Marcus was prepared to take a hit from Clarissa, if any, as well as from her miniguns that popped out from her shoulders. However, peace prevails, as despite the rough start, Clarissa presented herself as a peaceful and pacifistic woman/robot, and would soon free Valentijn, while trying to console him back. That, and also because there was an EMP weapon nearby, and there were several prominent friends of Valentijn (Valentians) who were armed to the teeth and was ready to attack and kill the robot at any time.
Upon being asked about her origin, Clarissa could not tell in full detail of what exactly happened to her. It was already established that she was from another dimension, in which has more or less the same version of Earth that Valentine Z is currently on (before terraforming and nuclear fallout). She expressed surprise at her vast size, stating that she was designed to be merely 8 feet tall (makes sense, seeing how anything too tall would be troublesome for her everyday life in her dimension). The most accepted theory was that upon travelling to Valentine Z’s world, she scaled up by a factor of 2.6x, as a result of the difference between her world and Valentine Z’s world; in other words, the parallel world that she came in from was same as that of Valentine Z’s world, except that everything was more or less bigger by 2.6 times (e.g. their definition of 1 metre is 2.6 metres for Valentine Z). Thus, she "grew" to a towering 6.35 meters. On that planet (hereby designated as Clarissa’s Earth, or Clarissa’s Home World), they have reached year 2014, 28 years behind General Valentijn’s dimension in terms of absolute numbers. Technology is said to be limited, with quantum physics yet to be fully mastered, and the electricity-consuming appliances and transportation still using an untidy form of chemical energy (In contrast to Valentine Z having 90 % adoption rate to clean energy, with 10 % adapting to experimental energy production from antimatter-matter annihilation). Isalov Industries was an exception, having been researched through and developing many technologies that the outside world has little to no idea about. Still, the people from all around the world fully entrusted her short of running their country, stating that they believe that Clarissa will not hurt anyone, and with her arsenal’s weapon more or less taken out of ammo, as well as having programs and fail-safes to keep her from going rogue, this was proven true, and she was accepted in many parts of her Earth.
During her time on her home world, Clarissa first took a job as a children’s mascot, and due to her cartoonish and changing face, she was able to express herself freely, a feature that all the other mascots lack and them having uncanny and terrifying faces. After doing that for a while, she went off to Singapore to volunteer at their Army, just because. After being given a lecture and being told not to go to sensitive or classified places (or else, she would get an EMP to her face), Clarissa complied, and restricted herself mostly to the training areas wearing her new uniform, over her clothes. (While her original clothes are made out of fabric, they are resistant to damage, and is unable to be taken out by conventional means in order to protect the internal parts. Clarissa herself objects to it, for obvious reasons.) One day in her bunk, Clarissa found herself isolated and alone, being unable to find out what happened to the 6.3 billion people around her and on the planet. From this point, Clarissa is unable to recall what exactly happened, only being able to cite “dark shades and shadows” that wandered around the then-desolated planet, which in turn gave her a splitting headache and overloading of her electrical parts if one comes near (though they don’t exactly cause physical damage; just software overdriving and corruption). Eventually, she managed to enter a portal only 20 Earth days later (~17.28 Decimal days) which in turn took her to Valentine Z’s Earth and specifically at Singapore in one fine afternoon. At that moment, she along with General Valentijn, was struck with a nuclear bomb, and unfortunately, Clarissa was separated from Valentine as a result of the blast. She managed to survive with 86,3% structural integrity when she radioed in and subsequently founded by the recovery team.
From this point onwards, she quickly gained the trust of the people around her. General Valentijn made her a valuable ally and a friend in planning for the future of the nation, right alongside Foresittend (President) Marcus. Though, they are still uncertain on whether Clarissa will work along with them, or bring about their extinction by executing an android hostile takeover. She currently has a piece of Valentine Z entrusted with her to control and develop into another state known as Alanis Star. At the same time, she still provides Valentijn with computational assistance and anything related to information technology. So far, everyone that talked to her agrees that Clarissa is nice and approachable to have a conversation with.
