The Hamilton Soundtrack Album is dope, I have to agree. Kanye West put out good stuff back in the day, but right now, he's sort of stalled. He needs to put out something like Famous to be noticed now.

I like some artists (usually the smoother or more artful stuff), dislike others (usually the really hardcore or abrasive stuff).

Overall though, Hip Hop is probably my favorite genre outside the whole rock/metal/punk spectrum.

Madvillainy would be a good place to start, since it's one of the best hip-hop albums out there. Ever.

As a Jersey Boy here I thank you for the compliment but, Florida, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, ok let me just say South Florida, The Northeast, The West Coast, Hawaii are great but the rest of the country (aka Flyover Country) kind of sucks and there are a lot of Anti-Semitic/Anti-Northerner/Anti-Liberal Racist Trumpsters there. There are some up here and in South Florida too, unfortunately in NJ even though it is liberal and Jewish AF where I live, my neighbor is not like that at all and they are totally anti-Semitic/racist/sexist/Democrat-hating Trumpsters who vandalize my car and steal shit.

Also what part of Jersey did you go to, did you eat any Panzarottis? How about any Hoagies? If you are a goy did you try pork roll?

Best Rapper Ever: That is too hard to say. Tupac and Biggie jointly.

Best Rapper ATM: I like Drake, and he has had a lot of great songs, this year he had Passionfriit which I really liked. But that what earlier in the year so right now the best rapper IMO with some newer songs is probably French Montana, but it could be Bryson Tiller in Wild Thoughts is good too, as is Rihaana by this is about rap.

Best Rapper of the 2000's: 50 Cent, Party In Da Club ftw!

Best Rapper of The 2010's: Drake, so many great songs. Passionfruit, One Dance, Hold On (We're Going Home), Get It Together, Find Your Love, Over, You're The Fucking Best, Started From The Bottom, Work, Hotline Bling, and the list goes on and on. He was also pretty funny on SNL.
