Fallout (Any)
Half-Life (Any)

Most games would be tacky if adapted to movies though.

The Wolfenstein franchise, as it's basically a cheesy 80ies action movie in game-form already. The premise can serve to deliver another powerful message that racism and dictatorship are wrong and we should blast them with chain magazine double gatling guns.
Protagonist BJ Blazkowicz should be played by somebody who can portray a character who is both crafty and can pack a punch - I'm thinking about Tom Cruise or Matt Damon (possibly Daniel Craig, if he can play an All-American guy convincingly).
Antagonist Wilhelm "Deathshead" Strasse should be played by somebody who can pull off a German accent well or is German himself and has a creepy, skeletal body and face anatomy. I'm thinking Hugo Weaving, Bill Nighy or Udo Kier.

But under no circumstances should it be directed by Uwe Boll. Anyone but Uwe Boll.

Though to say something rather than nothing, all the movie adaptations of video games I have seen have been terrible.

While video game movies are usually atrocious, I'd be interested to see one based on S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Ghostbusters the Videogame
Image
The Creeping Barrage is the name given to a method of firing artillery. At the beginning of Trench Warfare the basic tactic was to fire lots of artillery at enemy trenches for a sustained period of time and to stop firing just before the infantry attacked. However this method wasn’t very successful as the German had built strong bunkers and were able to man the defences in the time between the bombardment ending and the infantry getting to the trenches. A solution to the problem of the time lag between the bombardment and the arrival of the infantry was to change the way that the artillery was fired. Instead of just aiming at the same target the creeping barrage moved forward at a prearranged pace.

I mean, video game movies are usually always pretty bad.
(Well, the Halo-based movies/short series aren’t too bad, but hey.)

I would like to see the Metro games made into a movie, just out of pure curiosity. It’d be a nice opportunity to slow down and enjoy the lore and story telling without, you know, getting mauled to death.
Although, considering the fact that (depending on the ending)
the main protagonist dies.
it’d be interesting to see how the dirctor works around that, if they model it after another character (i.e Artyom’s child) or went for a prequel style movie, or went off of the “good” ending.

Unrelated fun fact: The achievement “C’est La Vie” (which you get for the bad ending) is why it became my national motto for like, a year.
(I really love the Metro games.)

How about Minecraft: The Movie?

Maybe not.
Puppet of Stellar Colonies. (And a part of it IC)

RomCom with Mr. and Mrs. Pacman

Really tho, Full Throttle. Short and funny, it'd be good if the studio and everyone else didn't fuck it up. Which they would.

The visual language of film doesn't translate well to the interactive language of video games.

No, actually, it’d sounds like an interesting spoof concept.
Imagine: A cheesy 80s movie where a group of outcast characters (complete with all the stereotypes) were transported into Tetris, and had to survive up to, say, level 100 before escaping. At the end they’re all best friends, the last few moments before the credits would have a freeze frame of them all high-fiving while inspirational music plays.

Halo, but none of this Master Chief shit.

Give me ODSTs during New Mombassa or Marines on Reach. Multiple short stories about a variety of characters who all, spoiler, ultimately die. No happy endings, lots of blamite needles.

Edit: Admittedly, the ODST bit would be pretty short. Would be cool to see this epic build up of ODSTs training and then the build up to the invasion, followed by the final five minutes of the film being the ODSTs plummeting into their unknown, imminent deaths. Fade to black. Roll credits. Crowd shocked.

Would be nice to actually have some semblance of a story established in the current R6 canon, as opposed to just ''yo these dudes have like lots of guns and advanced equipment oH AND WEAR WHITE MASKS and have literally no discernible motive.'
