Ah, apologies then. Yes, the movies are my only exposure to Spider-Man, and only now am I actually finding some limited time to read up on some Spider-Man comics (Edge of the Spider-Verse is currently on my to-read list thanks to the single greatest superhero movie of all time Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse). The channels I watched on TV all only had Justice League cartoons, not Marvel ones.

Yeah, Disney Channel gets the Marvel shows. Cartoon Network gets DC.

Currently. Used to be WB for DC and Fox for Marvel back in the 90s and early 00s.

If you watched the shows in the 90's/00's, that would be because Marvel, quite frankly, didn't really make that many cartoons/shows around that time and when they did they usually made X-Men shows that usually got put on "Lesser" channels like Nicktoons or CW's Saturday morning block.

If you watched them recently: It's because CN/Warner Bros. own DC, while Disney owns Marvel. (So if you want to watch Marvel shows, try Disney Channel or Disney XD)

He’s always a super villain.

Literally Green Goblin has a more heroic track record.

So about this new Spider-Man movie.

Do I have to see the first two Spider-Man 2s to understand the third Spider-Man 2?

Well, considering MCU is considered an alternative universe, we could say that Mysterio's most likely either an anti-villain, or a very loose anti-hero. He could be like our Vulture.

Or not.

Apparently Logan isn't even set in the same universe as the rest of the X-Men?

It's all so confusing. I'd be excited to see how Marvel pulls off a hard reboot.

He, not surprising, really. Aside from Deadpool, the X-Men movies have all ranged from bad to the upper end of mediocre. I enjoy watching them, but I wouldn't call them quality movies. Maybe it's time to put the franchise to bed for a decade or two before trying again.

Oh, the X-Men movies are nothing compared to their comics.

Here's one of the simplier relationships in the series.

It's not full though, as they did leave out the time Colossus got possessed by the Phoenix Force and tried to commit genocide, or Kitty's entire relationship with Starlord, or the fact that they did get engaged but Marvel is full of people who think marriage plot points can't be interesting so they called it off (I also still haven't forgiven them for the worthless dreck that is "One More Day"), etc...

Mephisto gotta 'phisto.

Any story that involves Mephisto is gonna be convoluted and weird. This is a dude who took a dude who was mad at him and went, "Oh yeah? Here, join this other being that's mad at me. Let's see how that turns out."
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

I was reading the Infamous Iron Man series of comics and out of nowhere (near the end) the comic consisted of Mephisto explaining his plan to the audience, and probably the out-of-universe audience at that.

Part of the damned's torment is to listen to Mephisto monologue.

Logan was alright.

I appreciate that we finally saw what would realistically happen to people if thye got into Wolverine’s way, but the movie has a number of flaws.
